He was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm after a trial that lasted more than five weeks. His sentence could range from 16 months to three years. Ms. Steinle’s death in July 2015 fed into a fierce debate over whether immigrants without legal status. He had been deported five times already and should be dealt with more aggressively, but the Judge stated that his immigration history could not be heard.
Fox News Radio’s Simon Owen brings us the story of a former Bosnian Croat general, 72-year-old Slobodan Praljak, has died after apparently swallowing poison as a judge at the Hague upheld his 20-year sentence for war crimes. He was one of six former Bosnian Croat leaders found guilty of crimes against humanity and war crimes, including the rape and murder of Bosnian Muslims, in 2013.
