Part 3: Rep. Wayne Parry joins the panel in studio. The Chief explains the process of hiring new officers. Shawn asks the Chief about the school resource officer. The Chief talks about how relationships are so important. Ray brings up the opioid problems in Maine and how education is a big part of this problem. They talk about family and how all police are part of a greater “family and brotherhood”. The discussion also turns to taking care of the mental health of a policeman’s daily life on duty. They also talk about Joe Loughlin and his new book “Shots Fired: The Misunderstandings, Misconceptions, and Myths About Police Shootings”.
