Today’s panel starts with State Representative Rich Cebra, David Jones of Making Maine Great Again and Gordon Draper of Maine Patriot PAC.
Part 1:  They boys talk Maine Bill LD 1884. There discussion on the bullying that is happening in Augusta. This is a summary as it is on the Maine website.

Summary

This bill creates a community protection order to authorize a court to order a person to surrender that person’s firearms temporarily for 21 days or on an extended basis for 180 days when it has been proved that the person poses a danger of causing personal injury to that person or another person. The bill provides that:

1. A law enforcement officer or a family or household member may file a petition for a temporary community protection order, which expires in 21 days. A temporary community protection order may be issued on an ex parte basis. The court is required to hold a hearing to determine if the temporary community protection order should be extended for an additional 180 days;
2. A person who is the subject of a community protection order is required to surrender all firearms in the person’s possession to a law enforcement officer. The firearms must be returned to the person at the expiration of the community protection order; and
3. A person who possesses firearms in violation of a community protection order commits a Class D crime. Part of the sentence must include a prohibition on possession of firearms for an additional 2 years.

Part 2:  They continue to talk about the Bill 1884 and some of the hidden things that have been put into this bill.
Part 3:  Rich reads the definition of what means to be family members in Bill 1884 and Ray expands on it to make sure people understand. There is a pubic hearing on the bill today.
Part 4: Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling joins us. Ray asks the Mayor about the letter Erica Cole wrote about Alex Grey that owns the company that runs the Waterfront Concerts. There will be a public hearing on this issue. Here is a link to her letter.
Part 5:  The discussion is on the process of the House and not starting on time. Ray explains his viewpoint on tardiness.
Part 6: The boys start in on President Trump and Congress and Senate. They talk about the taxes. Somehow, the discussion turns to fictional Presidents. They take a call that drives the discussion to guns. Ray plays “If I were the Devil” by Paul Harvey.
Part 7:  Ray talks about the Max Linn and Eric Brakey campaign.
Part 8: Secretary of State Matt Dunlap joins us to educate us on Ranked Choice Voting and the campaign for the U.S. Senator seat. He explains the process Max Linn is going through to make sure his signatures are validated. Ray asks him questions about RCV which he answers.
Part 9:  The panel is joined by Republican Party Leader Demi Kouzounas. They talk about how Ranked Choice Voting is going to affect the elections.
Part 10:  House Assistant Minority Leader Ellie Espling joins us by phone to discuss her perspective of the Ranked Choice Voting debates. Ray also asks her why they wouldn’t have a public hearing on things before they go to the ballot. She agrees that things need to have hearings for transparency sake. They talk about making the people referendum process. Maine People’s Alliance has taken over and strong-armed so that their isn’t public hearings anymore.
Part 11:  Demi gives a brief update on the Republican Convention plans. Then we have a caller express concern about the people coming in and the fall of America.
