04-13-18 If I Were The Devil
Ray plays the Paul Harvey speech “If I Were The Devil”. He said it 50 years ago and how prophetic he was. Ray asks how can we not step back and take a look at our society and where it is and where it is going. Joe asks when did education become what you “feel” vs what you “learn”. Ray talks about the banning of “To Kill A Mockingbird” and Joe says that they want to hide our history instead of teaching so that we can learn from it. Ray swings it to how history will keep our constitution safe. They take a call about the “goodness” of our country and they discuss the fall of Rome. Ray also talks about Alexis de Tocqueville, French diplomat, political scientist, and historian.
