Part 1:  Ray is joined by Crystal Canney in studio, along with Rep. Jeff Timberlake and Joe Bruno. She is running for Senate District 27 in Portland. She and the boys talk about referendums. Crystal feels that the Legislature needs to work together. She is running as an Independent because she believes that it is important to be able to cross party lines with her vote. She and Jeff had quite a discussion.
Part 2:  Ray describes the position of the candidates running for this seat. Crystal is an independent and open to discussion on the issues.
Part 3:  Ray state that she is running against Democratic incumbent Benjamin Chipman. Ray states that her position is center to left and her opponent is a far leaning left. Ray brings back up the “leftover” bills that they have to come back into session and Jeff points out that they are all referendum questions.
Part 4:  Ray, Crystal, Jeff and Joe all agree that elected folks are in Augusta for the People of Maine. They also all agree that they need to represent their constituents and not necessarily vote the way they would personally. Great discussion this morning.
