Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss the overnight developments in the Kavanaugh circus. Ray re-steps the timeline on the accusations. There are a lot of things that just don’t make sense to him or Debi. Ray and Debi welcome Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland. They continue with the new developments that include a couple of men that have come forward to defend Judge Kavanaugh’s personal character.
Part 2: Ray welcomes Bob Witkowski in studio. Bob Witkowski is from Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before You Die. Bob brings us the Maine Marathon. He explains why this is such an iconic race. It is happening this Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 7:45 a.m. Your family and friends can easily access the start/finish line along beautiful Back Cove in Portland. He also talks about the Liberty Ship Memorial located at Bug Light. He reminds us of this historic landmark and how and why it was important. Bob also has some book signings coming up for his new book….100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before you Die, 2nd Edition is available at Sherman’s Books and Amazon.
Part 3: Ray and Bob continue this Kavanaugh descriptions. Larry, a frequent caller from South Portland called in and is frustrated with the way the “other side” is behaving.
Part 4: Ray reads a couple of text messages and one of them is directed to Bob. The question is would he write a novel similar to “Weekend at Bernie’s”. This sparks a discussion about some of the great things happening during October in Maine.
Part 5: Ray plays “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. They talk about Sam Adams it being his birthday. They talk about the hearing today. Ray stresses that this whole thing is over Roe v Wade. Ray and Bob talk about history and the need for civic duty. They get into a little bit of Maine history and Margaret Chase Smith. Ray pleads for Sen. Susan Collins to act like her mentor and stand up to this modern day McCarthyism….
