Our nation has been put through the ringer over the last few months as the US Senate Judiciary Committee and then the full US Senate considered the nomination to the Supreme Court of Brett Kavanaugh. From the moment President Trump announced that Kavanaugh was the nominee, the battle over his nomination was heated, nasty, often absurd and clearly divisive.
