Part 1: Pat Callaghan of News Center Maine joins Ray and Bob for their weekly discussion. Pat tells us about the surprise rooftop Beatles rooftop concert re-creation in Portland. They also talk about the Super Bowl and Pat’s experiences while covering it. They also talk about Chef Elliot Farmer. Ray asks Pat his opinion on “Vacationland” or “Staycationland”.
Part 2: Ray talks about de-humanizing a little baby in the womb.
Part 3: Jess Gagne of News Center Maine joins Ray by phone from Atlanta. Jess was recently named by the Maine State legislature as Maine Sportscaster of the Year. She gives us some of her experiences while she has been in Atlanta. She loves Southern food and Chef Elliot put on quite a spread for them. She and Ray talk about the difference between watching and covering the games. They talk about the stadium and whether it will be open or closed for the game. She says that the News Center Maine team is covering all of the social media outlets so follow them to keep up to date.
Part 4: Ray talks about the NY abortion bill and how it was presented vs how it is legally worded. He also talks about the VA Governor and their vote. Ray says the question isn’t “what can you do”, but should be “what are you willing to do?”
