01-31-19 Ray and Bob
Part 1: Ray welcomes Bob Witkowski is from Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before You Die. Bob raves about it being National Hot Chocolate day. He then mentions the Mister Bagel on Congress Street for their tandoori chicken panini. They also talk about The Bar of Chocolate on Wharf Street in Portland.
Part 2: Ray and Bob discuss the rebranding of “Vacationland”. Gov. Mills has proposed to change Maine from Vacationland to Staycationland. Ray also plays a clip from Governor Ralph Northam and Rep. Kathy Tran regarding abortion.
Part 3: Ray goes back to what our nation is truly divided over. It isn’t politics, it is philosophy. He goes into great detail about what the VA Governor’s interview. He also talks about another country’s solution to the Downs Syndrome “problem”. We need to stand up for the innocent, if we don’t, if they can’t get them when they are babies, they will get them when they are old.
Part 4: Ray brings back the Governor’s clip and has more thought on the subject. And then there is Kamala Harris and some of her crazy ideas on what she would like to do if she is elected President in 2020. He gets back to Bob and they discuss his trip to promote Portland. Ray tells a story about a Sea Dogs game. Bob then describes his experiences with his girls and teaching them the game. He ties it in to Portland and the Sea Dogs.
Part 5: Ray and Bob talk about the voter’s/constituents to be able to make a difference after someone is elected. They can call and respectfully voice their opinion.
