Mirko Lahti calls in to introduce the fastest sport on skates and it’s making its stadium debut at Fenway Park this February 8 and 9, as Red Bull Crashed Ice comes to Boston. It will make its stadium debut at Fenway Park on Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9, as Ice Cross Downhill comes to Boston for the first time. Featuring some of the fastest and toughest skaters in the world, Red Bull Crashed Ice athletes will race in heats of four at a time, shoulder-to-shoulder and reaching speeds of 50 mph while fighting it out for victory down the most unique ice track in the history of the sport. The unique course design pays homage to the iconic ballpark and is dotted with steep drops, hairpin turns, jumps and rollers, and weaves across the entire baseball field, starting in the right field bleachers and finishing at home plate.
