03-05-19 Political Tuesday!!!!
Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss the Electoral Vote Compact. Ray reiterates the way it will work. Basically, it won’t matter how you vote, Maine will hand over your Electoral Vote to a group of states that will band their votes together (which all have liberal ideas) and cast their vote.
Part 2: Ray and Debi continue the discussion and Ray re-names Maine to Cali-Maine because Maine won’t have a voice. They take a call who is really wound up.
Part 3: David Jones joins them in the discussion.
Part 4: The group welcome Ellie Espling to the table. They take a call and he is frustrated that the Legislature has gone back to the playbook from way back. The caller says that the people that are elected are only in it for money and power. He also says that only the Bold People are being elected.
Part 5: The talk about the grassroots fight that needs to happen to stop this nonsense in Maine. They talk about Gov. LePage and how he is still using his voice. We need to stand up and be bold with our voice to fight socialism.
Part 6: Ray poses a question to Ellie because she used to be in the House Leadership, “Why aren’t the Republican Leadership speaking out?” He uses Medicaid expansion as an example. They discuss the current elected folks and how they need to be supported by their constituents. They need to hear from you whether or not you agree with what is going on. Ellie states that the only way we will be able to have changing is to have people to run for office that will be willing to stand up to the left’s ideas. They take a call about what he does and he urges people to do what they can. Ray explains what the Committees of Correspondence was and how effective it was. We have a communist party in the US right now.
Part 7: Ray goes back to history and how the Democrats have always tried to control people. He goes back to the Civil War and the Jim Crow laws. Ellie points out that when the Democrats win all is good, but when the Dems loose, they try and change the rules. Look what happened after Maine Gov. LePage won, they instituted the rank choice voting. Trump won and they are trying to change the Electoral College. Ray points to a really small issue and the media is complicit. Ray reads an article from the US Department of the Treasury’s website about the average Tax Refunds are UP 1.3% from last year. There is no media coverage on this good news.
Part 8: David reads a text from someone that wants Ray to run for Governor. They continue the discussion on the media and how they only go after the low hanging fruit and don’t do their due diligence in getting a story’s fact correct, report wrong facts and not correct the information. They take a call and he is frustrated that there isn’t more local news available, but there is way too much national news. Ray brings up the $50 million study on the acidity of the Gulf of Maine, not anything that we can solve, by the way. This brings them to potholes in Maine. Ray wants to the know where is the Leadership in Augusta?
Part 9: Ellie, David and Ray discuss Maine Rep. Craig Hickman’s statement and the educational system because they don’t teach the voting process. There are 50 individual elections for President. They go back to the rank choice voting and how when the Dems loose they want to change the rules. They take another call and he isn’t sure which topic to comment on because they have covered so many topics. Ray says that they (Republican Leadership) should have used Ellie because she was a woman, articulate, attractive, smart, but they wouldn’t because they were afraid.
Part 10: This is a wrap up segment…we took a lot of calls and the bottom line is we need to have good people willing to stand up and be counted. The time is now. We will need to start gearing up for the upcoming elections.
