03-12-19 Political Roundtable
Part 1: Ray, David Jones and State Rep. Nate Wadsworth, member of the Appropriations Committee, discuss someone bringing forth a new bill and not knowing what is in the bill. They also discuss the Department of Education and their accountability.
Part 2: The boys discuss Spring! They talk about the welcomed warmer weather and Daylight Savings Time.
Part 3: The guys talk about the “not from here” mentality of Maine. Ray has lived here for 34 years and Nate talks about his family’s history. Ray mentions the Be Bold campaign and Maine’s balanced budget problem and the rainy day fund. They end up talking about Gov. LePage and the things people say. They move on to overhauling the process and cost of becoming an American Citizen. The National elections are discussed and the Electoral College.
Part 4: They talk about people moving up to Maine because they love Maine, then decide to run for office and make it like where they came from. Ray plays a clip of an exchange between CNN’s Jim Acosta and WH Spokesman Sarah Sanders and then points out how they twist things that have said. Ray points out that Lois Rickett “has solved” the balanced budget issue single-handedly (joking aside, this could happen…).
