05-22-19 Wacky Wednesday
Part 1: Ray is wound up this morning about several different topics. He talks about House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler and his latest subpoenas of former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks and Former White House Deputy Counsel Annie Donaldson. When is enough, enough? Fox News Radio’s Jared Halpern to discuss the campaign trail that is already in full swing….they talk about the democrats hopefuls Marianne Williamson and Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
Part 2: Ray reminds people of the Honor Flight Remote at Rowe Ford Westbrook. He and Debi discuss the monument down in Washington DC. Ray explains which ones where his favorite. He loves the Korean War Monument and his runner up is the Vietnam Nam Wall. It is very emotional seeing all of those names.
Part 3: Ray and Debi discuss Jerry Lee Lewis and his downfall. He tells us about the scandal that lead to his downfall. His child bride, that happened to be his second cousin.
Part 4: Ray reminds people of the Honor Flight Remote at Rowe Ford Westbrook. Ray talks about the attendance of the Franklin Graham Destination America Northeast Tour. This leads to the OP-Ed that was in the Portland Press Herald in Sunday’s edition…NO OTHER MEDIA COVERAGE ANYWHERE…this morning the headline is about the protest against laws passed recently in Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Ohio and other states that place new restrictions on access to abortion.
Part 5: Ray reads another headlining story out of the Portland Press Herald. The Maine House yesterday approved a bill that will allow nurse practitioners and physician assistants to perform abortions. He talks about how is this not the promoting women’s healthcare…this is murder.
Part 6: “Trump is Raping the country”. He then goes to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Sunday that growing cauliflower in community gardens is part of the “colonial” attitudes that her Green New Deal will stamp out.. He talks about cauliflower pizza and the level of intelligence of our elected folks. Ray takes a call. Ray goes a little overboard with his support of cauliflower, he even brings in broccoli into the fight. He takes another call, this one is about how the People’s Veto.
Part 7: Ray reads a story out of the New York Times about John Walker Lindh, a former American Taliban militant. Believe it or not he is set to be released from prison and hasn’t denounced Islamism.
Part 8: Ray recieves a text from Claude Berube with a great site that has a video for Cauliflower Pizza crust. Ray talks about automation and the taxation on them. They will tax anything and everything. Somehow, he gets to the funding of schools. Portland needs money to renovate/build schools, yet they are considering merging the high schools because of the reduced school age population. Yet somehow he gets back to cauliflower.
Part 9: AOC is the first topic. He then heads to Fox News and a sign that flashed on the TV at a Bernie Sanders rally. He points out a sign about abortion is a right of life. He takes on the Maine Legislature in a tongue in cheek dialog with Debi and Dee Dee.
Part 10: Ray welcomes Jane Margesson, AARP Maine. They discuss one of the many scams out there to get your money. Now there’s a refund twist to this scam. Scammers call, explaining you bought a tech protection plan in the past and that the vendor is going out of business and owes you a refund. She and Ray talk about some of the other scams out there. Jane tells us about the Senior Safe Act that started here in Maine.
Part 11: Ray and Jane Margesson continue with their discussion after he and Debi discuss cauliflower. She thanks Ray and WLOB Radio for their support for Honor Flights Maine and other military personnel. They also discuss the Red Cross and their birthday.
