Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss Special Council Bob Mueller’s press conference that was held yesterday. Ray gives a brief history of the players and talks about how President Trump has been open and there wasn’t obstruction. He blames Trump for fanning the fire with his Twitter account. He needs to point out the transparency, not witch-hunt on the Trumps in his Twitter. He and Debi disagree on Trump’s approach. There were people around him that have done illegal stuff, but not in regards to Trump’s dealings.
Part 2: Bob Witkowski of Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to Do In Portland Maine Before You Die, joins Ray, Debi and Dee Dee. He brings laughs as we discuss “Mom and Dad’s disagreement”. He asks if we can go out for ice cream. Ray brings up the announcement by Alex Trebek that his cancer has made a miracle reduction. Things are looking great and he gives prayers and good wishes from his many fans as the difference.
Part 3: Ray reads a story the law society of Canada’s largest province voted against admitting among their ranks graduates of Trinity Western University, for the sole reason that the school’s community covenant, which students (and teachers) voluntarily sign upon admission or hiring, reserves sexual intimacy for heterosexual marriage.
Part 4: Ray and Bob welcomes Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland by phone to discuss Special Council Bob Mueller’s press conference. They talk about the “noise” of impeachment and the differences between AG Barr’s conversation with Mueller. They also chat about Speaker Pelosi and how she is stuck in the middle of a no win situation. Bob gives his 100 Things to do in Portland before you die. He has two book signings coming up with his 2nd Edition of 100 Things to Do In Portland Maine Before You Die. 6/15 at Sherman’s Bookstore Freeport in Freeport at 1PM and the other one on 6/29 at Sherman’s Bookstore Portland in Portland at 11:30am.
Part 5: Ray and Bob welcome Roy Lenardson. The boys talk about the film industry and the boycott of Georgia over their abortion law. Ray expresses his real disappointment that Disney has become one of the companies that have made a stand to boycott if it is kept.
Part 6: The boys welcome Republican National Committee spokesperson Liz Harrington to discuss the Electoral College and how Maine is trying to give our voice and vote away to New York and California. Ray brings up the fact that it isn’t Constitutional. Liz brings up the question about Jared Golden and where does he stand on this issue. He has been silent on this issue. Roy suggests that the Democrats should start with their own election in the primary with this method.
Part 7: Ray and Roy continue their discussion.
Part 8: Ray and the boys welcome David Ciullo of Career Management Services and Dale Carnegie Maine, he also hosts The H.R. PowerHour on WLOB Radio. Today’s topic is the newly signed bill about paid time off (PTO). This won’t go into effect until after the election of 2021. Dave gives some of the details. He points out some of the ambiguity. Roy asks a question about the of not complying. This leads to a discussion on minimum wage and the incrementalism of government.
Part 9: Bob had to go to work and so Roy and Ray discuss Portland and their election for Mayor. They talk about Moody’s diner and their favorite pie.
Part 10: Ray and Roy talk about his vacation plans and they take a call about the great state of Maine and some of what they have to offer. They talk about Waterboro area and how beautiful it is. They take another call about the energy fight and the Central Maine Power Corridor. Ray talks about Brownie Carson bill that will change the rules in the middle of the game. Roy uses the example of Santee Cooper’s Winyah Steam Generation Plant. He urges people to do the research.
Part 11: Ray has gotten several complaints about the prescription drug commercials. Ray explains why they are running them. Roy asks about our weekend plans, we have none….He is heading to his 35th Class Reunion. They talk about UBER and the benefits.
