Part 1: Ray talks about the Electoral Vote. He explains his position of why this is a bad idea for our country and talks about the states that have embraced this idea. It is not Constitutional. He gives an in-depth civics lesson. Glad to see that Maine House Legislature voted this measure down.
Part 2: Ray talks about abortion and then that leads to the new push to kill the sick and affirmed….He takes a call and Larry wants to know where are all of the Christians to appose the abortion movement.
Part 3: Ray shares that Westbrook Days starts today. He gives a quick rundown of the some of the events featuring: Motor Booty, Something Stupid tonight and Girls Just Want To Have Fun and Dean Ford tomorrow night. Event’s conclusion will feature Fireworks on Saturday night. There will be entertainment through out the day on Saturday as well. For more information: WestbrookTogetherDays.com.
Part 4: Roy Lenardson is back for the morning. They get into the nitty-gritty of some of the things that is going on in Augusta. They start off with the Electoral Vote bill that died in the Maine House. They also get into the Worker’s Comp. stuff that is in Augusta. Roy points out that there are a lot of people still around that know what it was like the last time they changed Workers’ Comp. back in the ’80’s. Sen. King took over the reins as Governor and Sen. Diamond could give you some in dept insight because he was in office and has his own business.
Part 5: Ray and Roy start off with the latest company to boycott Georgia over the Heartbeat Bill. This leads to stories of Disney and Ray working there one summer.
Part 6: The boys take a call from Gordon Draper about the wall on the southern border. They discuss the government vs private enterprise. They talk about how private citizens have been trying to build a wall on private property and that has even been stopped. This leads them to the people we elect not taking care of business. NIMB (Not In My Backyard) mentality is stopping a lot of development that can help grow Maine’s economy. Somehow this leads to the CMP Corridor. Ray calls out the Dark Money Allies that aren’t necessarily telling the truth or the whole truth.
Part 7: Ray asks Roy what is up in Augusta that he is really worried about and Roy answers in details. Some of the gambling bills, Workers’ Comp. This was a great discussion.
Part 8: Ray reads a text about the CMP Corridor and the discussion between Ray and Shawn Moody last week. Roy agreed with the person’s text and Ray disagrees. They each expand their own thoughts on this deal. The boys talk about how much is enough. How much land does the government need to own and go off of the tax rolls.
Part 9: Ray and Roy talk about his reunion and what is happening this weekend. This brings up Ted Talbot somehow. At first they reminisce the good old days, but then they start poking fun at poor Teddy.
Part 10: Ray explains why he has been talking so much about abortion lately. He explains that he is reacting to what is happening around the country and in our own state. He talks about the Governors around the country that have signed into law that is is legal to take another life. Ray reads the story about the smallest baby ever born and survive is on her way home. The world’s smallest baby was born in San Diego at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital at just 8.6 ounces. She weighed about the same as an apple. She was just released from the hospital at a whopping 5 pounds when discharged.
Part 11: Ray takes calls about the abortion issue. He reminds people of Westbrook Together Days celebration and talks about the line up and fireworks.
