Part 1: Ray, Debi Davis and Dee Dee talk about Burger King’s Impossible Burger and why someone would go to a burger joint and buy something else. Ray reads a story about Jeffrey Epstein and his “suicide”.
Part 2: Ray reads an article about Dark Money. Ray explains what Dark Money is and why he feels that it is bad. He doesn’t have a problem with anybody contributing to anything, but it should be disclosed where it comes from and who is supporting the cause or person.
Part 3: Today’s History Lesson: William Williams (April 23, 1731 – August 2, 1811) was a merchant, and a delegate for Connecticut to the Continental Congress in 1776, and a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. Some of the accomplishments and jobs that William held are Town Clerk, Selectman, Provincial Representative, Council to the Legislature. Elected State Legislator, delegate to colonial conferences, 1775; Elected to Continental Congress, 1776-77; Delegate to the Connecticut convention to ratify the federal Constitution, 1787; Judge of the Windham County Courthouse.
Part 4: Ray talks about the conspiracy and collusion investigation Mueller Team. Ray reads a story from Fox News about some of the Mueller “team” who have been transitioning to different jobs and who are doing very well with their offers.
Part 5: Ray reads an email with about one of yesterday’s topics. Ray talks about the human trafficking problem that we have in the United States. This problem didn’t start with President Trump and he doesn’t blame Pres. Obama. He blames Congress. He goes into a deeper meaning of why.
Part 6: Ray takes a call from Gordon Draper and he “tongue in cheek” get things straight about some of the crazy things. Gordon talks about the target that you become if you are a Trump supporter. He reminds people about what happened to the cars parked in the parking lot at the Republican Rally that was held up in Bangor. Ray asks him about the political turmoil back when he was serving. They have an in depth conversation about more of the investigations that will be happening.
Part 7: Ray talks about companies that have been targeted and still stand by their code of ethics. He talks about Chick-Fil-A and the CEO’s promise to his father and founder of the company. He names Shawn Moody, Joe Bruno and Rich Cebra and their companies and business practices.
Part 8: Ray welcomes Kayleigh McEnany. She is a former CNN contributor and National Spokesperson for the Republican National Committee. In February 2019, she became the National Press Secretary for the Donald Trump 2020 presidential campaign. They discuss some of the great things that the President has accomplished and if he looses in 2020 how they could over-turn any or all of the things he has done much like what has happened to Gov. LePage’s hard work that he had done during his Governorship. They discuss some of the states that are ripe for the picking. They talk about the Democratic nominees and how left and socialist their ideas are and how close Maine was to getting the whole state for Trump.
Part 9: Ray with the thoughts and continues with the thoughts of the previous segment.
Part 10: Ray welcomes Lori Parham of AARP Maine. They talk about policy work. Lori says that even if the Legislature is not in session, there is always policy work to do. They chat about Medicare and Medicare for All. They talk about the “Bernie Sanders'” plans and thoughts being applied to Maine. Lori brings up the problematic issue of needing a specialist in a different area. Ray asks Lori about the ACA and they discuss her answer. Ray talks about how where the money will go. Lori suggest that we need to bring down prescription drug costs. They discuss the multiple “theiftoms” where the costs and money ends up.
Part 11: Lori, Ray and Debi continue the pharma discussion. They talk about the VA and that they are negotiate for prescriptions on their own. They discuss insulin and other costs that happen with Diabetes. This is a great discussion…..to be continued!
