08-26-19 Oh What a Monday!
Part 1: Ray, Dee Dee and Debi Davis discuss their weekend and the weather climate. Cool morning and what that means….October is just around the corner.
Part 2: Ray reads an email from Bob, the Sage of K,bunk about Southern jargon. These are Bob’s questions….Listening to a country/western radio station over the weekend, and heard a catchy tune about “knockin’ boots.” Now I have two thoughts on what it might mean. Dancing or something a bit more frisky. Can you enlighten? His other question was…What the heck happened at the end of the Gator / Hurricane game? I missed it, and the results were not even carried in the Sunday paper.
Part 3: Today’s History Lesson: Thomas Nelson Jr. (December 26, 1738 – January 4, 1789) was an American planter, soldier, and statesman from Yorktown, Virginia. He represented Virginia in the Continental Congress and was its Governor in 1781. He is regarded as one of the U.S. Founding Fathers. He signed the Declaration of Independence as a member of the Virginia delegation and fought in the militia during the Siege of Yorktown.
Part 4: Ray talks about the China/United States and the trade wars. China has been ripping off our intellectual property for decades. Ray doesn’t understand how Americans are so against America. Trump has been the only President to stand up to China and their economic stronghold on our country. Trump has enacted an America First rule when negotiating with other countries. Ray brings up Antifa and Planned Parenthood and some of the other organizations that the Democrats support. Ray talks about Maine Democrats and how they have attacked Sen. Susan Collins and Former Governor Paul LePage.
Part 5: Ray talks about how music can trigger memories. He also gives Roots Cafe another shoutout! Nice job to Lorraine Fagela and Faye Wilson for their willingness to BE BOLD! in their beliefs and trust that God will provide.
Part 6: Ray welcomes State Sen. Jeff Timberlake by phone while he is on his way to Augusta. They were called back for a special session to vote on packages that haven’t been finalized yet. Hard to believe that this is a bi-partisan administration when the Democrats don’t talk or negotiate with the Republicans.
Part 7: Ray talks about the “un-named source” double standard. When the right names and “un-named source” it is discounted and is made fun of, but when the “un-named source” is supporting the leftist ideas and/or against Trump it is just fine.
Part 8: Ray talks about today in history in 1920 which marks the day women were allowed to vote. Ray stresses the reason that it took so long for this to happen is because of the government. The reason we had slavery is because of the government’s willingness to accept it and use it as a negotiation tool. Ray welcomes Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland to discuss President Trump’s negotiations with China. It seems that they are willing to come o the table and start talking. Guess he wasn’t so wrong in standing up for America.
Part 9: Ray takes a call from Liberal Steve. They talk about the Trump’s so called comment from an un-named source, that he would nuke a hurricane and there was quite a discussion on the history of the Republicans and Democrats and their positions back in the day. Which states were for the Amendment to the Constitution in 1920 and how long did it take to get it ratified.
Part 10: Ray responds to a couple of texts. First up Sarah Gideon. Ray responds to his previous comments about her character. Ray comments on his statement about the Democrats are driven by Satan and support terrorists like Planned Parenthood and Antifa. Ray talks about Sarah Gideon and her past and her latest fundraising video. Ray takes a call about the other side’s empty words an that they don’t even know what the words that they are using true meaning.
Part 11: Ray talks about how he loves his job. He says that he has a lot of fun while at work. Mighty doesn’t make you Right, but Right makes you Mighty! Ray tell you the only way Sarah Gideon and some of the others could win is by a wave vote. He explains what he means by that and warns that if they get in to office we will have a Socialist nation.
