Part 1: Ray and Mark Reilly discuss some of the elections from around the state and Country. Ray get into the weeds with the Kentucky Governor’s race. Mark makes the point that the Democrat in the Kentucky race wasn’t a far left Dem.
Part 2: Ray and Mark talk about the election for 2020. This has been the longest election cycle to date. Ray poses the question about the Ukrainian investigation and the Bidens. Ray talks about the “quid pro quo” that has been charged against Trump.
Part 3: Today’s History Lesson: Marquis de Lafayette (September 6, 1757 – May 20, 1834) The future hero of the American Revolution was born Marie-Joseph-Paul-Yves-Roch-Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette in an expansive chateau in Chavaniac, France, on September 6, 1757. “It’s not my fault,” he joked in his autobiography. “I was baptized like a Spaniard, with the name of every conceivable saint who might offer me more protection in battle.”
Part 4: Ray and David talk about some of the important races around the state. The start with Ray’s hometown of Westbrook. They talk about how Westbrook has grown and it’s downtown. They moved down to Biddeford’s Mayoral race. The boys talk about Kentucky, Northern Virginia, and some of the other races. They also briefly chat about how people are up in arms that the Trump boys are making money on their Trump name and yet are protecting the Bidens and others.
Part 5: Ray reads a text from Listener #30 with more information on LaFayette and what he was buried with, American Soil! Ray reads a story about Hunter Biden after Ray reminds people how Joe Biden claimed that he strong-armed Ukraine.
Part 6: Ray and David talk real estate. David Jones puts on his FO Bailey Real Estate hat for the next couple of segments. He says that if you are thinking about selling and trying to decide on Spring or now, go ahead and get your pictures and market analysis done to make an informed decision. Ray says that in six months the market landscape could make a huge swing based on elections and the money market. Ray gives his personal experience. Ray brings up the newly lowered interest rates. Ray gives specific numbers for how the interest works. Ray brings up the point that if you don’t think that you can find out. Part 8: Ray reads an email from Bob from K’bunk about all of the focus Kentucky Governor race and Bevin. Ray explains that Bevin told us this summer that he was very unpopular with the teachers. This also happened in Portland and Ray brings up Westbrook and put all of the votes into context. David gets Ray wound up because the Republicans didn’t show up to the dance. Ray goes into the Democrat machine and they always show up. He lays it all out and feels better afterwards.
Part 9: Ray and David talk about the move toward Socialism. He defines the word Socialism and how dangerous it is. The boys chastised the many that didn’t vote.
Part 10: Ray welcome Jane Margesson, AARP Maine and Maine Military Historian CPT. Jonathan Bratten remind people that he was here last year and they briefly chat about the Smithsonian Channel’s documentary Americans Underground: Secret City of WWI. Today, they talk about Veteran’s Day and Armistice Day is commemorated every year on 11 November to mark the armistice signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France.
