01-07-20 Trump Tuesday
Part 1: Ray talks about the divided nature of our country. It has become either you are for or hate President Trump. He also talks about civility in words and deeds. Ray talks about the left that have no boundaries, “If you wouldn’t put up with it with someone that you do know, why would you put up with it with someone you don’t know?”
Part 2: Ray welcomes Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland to discuss some of the things that are happening with the President Trump’s Impeachment process in Washington. They talk about Sen. Mitch McConnell and his wish for a no-witness quick trial. Ray wants a lot of witnesses including the prosecutor that claims he was fired for investigating Hunter Biden.
Part 3: Today’s History Lesson: Hannibal Hamlin (August 27, 1809 – July 4, 1891) was an American attorney and politician from the state of Maine. In a public service career that spanned over 50 years, he served as the 15th vice president of the United States. The first Republican to hold the office, Hamlin served from 1861 to 1865. Ray feels that his accomplishments are way overshadowed by some of the more contemporary Mainers.
Part 4: Ray welcomes Maine State Senator Jeff Timberland and Maine Senate Candidate Jennifer White. She is running for Maine State Senate District 25 which represents Falmouth, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Gray, Long Island, Chebeague Island and part of Westbrook. They discuss some of the problems that Maine is facing. They discuss some of the bond packages, Governor Mills’ plans just to mention a few.
Part 5: Ray and Jennifer discuss why she decided to put her hat in the ring. She talks about the quality of employees and the struggles of small businesses.
Part 6: Ray, Jeff and Jennifer discuss the struggle of small businesses, mainly the minimum wage. Ray explains why it is called a minimum wage and how it is suppose to work. Jennifer goes into more detail about why $12 isn’t just $12 it is more like $15 to $20 when you include taxes and paid days off and that doesn’t necessarily include any benefits. Jeff uses his own business as an example of some of the paid days off. They talk about a training wage verses minimum wage. Ray says that he doesn’t believe that the people that are now in charge are not sincere. Ray makes an example using Jennifer’s business and how that the new and improved plans will effect her business.
Part 7: Ray, Dee Dee, Jeff and Jennifer welcome Maine State Republican Party Chair Demi Kouzounas. They go into more of the things that the new ideas that the Maine Legislature what to “protect” Mainers. They talk about the liberal mindset. They seem to be more interested in being hypocritical.
Part 8: Ray and the panel discuss the hypocrisy of the rich in Hollywood which was started by him playing Madonna. They go on to chat about some of them including death sentences, women’s health verses Female Mutilation. They also go back to Hollywood and the “rich and famous” putting their money where their mouth is.
Part 9: Ray and the gang welcome Marc Lotter. Marc serves as President of Lotter Communications, LLC and as a spokesman for President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence’s political efforts. They talk about the Iran/Iraq issue and how President Obama’s response was much different when there was a problem than President Trump. They also talk about Biden and Sanders and what they are saying.
Part 10: Ray asks Jeff to continue the point that he was trying to make a couple segments ago. He says that if you want to control the agenda in the House and Senate, we need to vote Republican and support Sen. Susan Collins. If you don’t like Sen. Collins, you definitely won’t like a Sen. Sara Gideon. Demi says that President Trump want Sen. Collins back in the Senate. Jeff explains the difference in someone that stays and switches branches to remain elect doesn’t necessarily mean that they become a swamp creature.
