Part 1: Ray and Joe Bruno are together for a busy Friday. It started off with Ray’s rain/windshield issues. The boys talk about pharmacies and shortage scares. They talk about supply and demand. They ask that people remain calm and not make a run on the pharmacy. Joe explains this means that there are supplies. Don’t panic! He says that Community Pharmacy is there to help in any way they can. They will do curbside service, they can mail your prescriptions. They talk about Joe as a teacher. He will be teaching online and there is a learning curve to that. He worries about the kids and their labs and that they might not have the education that they need. Ray points out that there are many majors that don’t need a lab. They talk about how this might change the way higher educations is viewed. They talk about the CDC and their hard work.
Part 2: Ray and Joe talk about the questions that the President has been fielding during Coronavirus Update Press Conferences. Some of them just can’t leave it alone. The constant stupid questions on racism, because this virus began in China. One even asked if he thought that calling Chinese Food a racist thing. Really?
Part 3: Dr. John Herzog join Ray and Joe. Ray and Joe talk about the Portland Press Herald.
Part 4: Ray and Joe talk about hand sanitizer. Ray asks Dr. Herzog a question from a listener about Bursitis (bur-SY-tis). It is a painful condition that affects the small, fluid-filled sacs, called bursae (bur-SEE), that cushion the bones, tendons and muscles near your joints. Bursitis occurs when bursae become inflamed. The most common locations for bursitis are in the shoulder, elbow and hip. Dr. Herzog explains his method of tackling this type of injury non-surgically.
Part 5: Ray asks another question related to the other question, this time it is about a hip bursitis and then asks about injury to a wrist. Ray, Dr. John Herzog and Joe continue their discussion on the positive results that he has gotten with these new techniques. Part 6: Ray, Joe and Dr. Herzog talk about the Coronavirus. They welcome President Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar to discuss the Coronavirus and facts and myths surrounding this pandemic. They talk about testing.
Part 7: Ray, Dr. Herzog and Joe are still in the house. Ray reads a couple of text/emails. They talk about America’s small business. They talk about the fact that America has no problem with the salary of a pro athlete or actor/actress, but are all up in arms when a business succeeds. Ray gives a shout out to all of the restaurants and other small businesses that have put their hopes, dreams, sweat, blood and tears into a business and have it closed due to no fault of their own.
Part 8: Ray, Dr. Herzog and Joe welcome US Senator Susan Collins by phone. They talk about some of the measures that she and others are taking to protect/help the small businesses of America. They are the backbone of America’s economy. The Senator says that small businesses are victims of this pandemic as much as someone with the disease. She has been working with Sen. Marco Rubio and others to come up with plan. She explains it in depth. Joe uses his business as an example of needing help to be able to get supplies. He stresses that the application needs to be streamlined. He also brings up all of the taxes that go along with paying an employee a paycheck. Ray asks will everyone be approved or will there be some that will or not. She says that the goal is to get a really quick turnaround because if it takes weeks, it won’t be helpful. They talk about the Senator’s commercial that was filmed at a Community Pharmacy.
Part 9: Ray, Joe and Doc. Herzog welcome Jason Shinn of Edward Jones Financial to talk about the economy. They talk about this is not a cancel moment, it is a postpone attitude. Jason says that the economy will rebound, don’t panic and stick to your plan. Ray relays a couple of questions. Overall, Jason says that he can’t give specifics because he doesn’t have all of their personal information, but does give general advice. Joe asks his opinion on how the market will rebound. Jason says that the market doesn’t like uncertainty. Make sure you get information from a reliable source. The unemployment numbers will rebound so don’t get scared with this Jobs Report.
