Part 1: Ray talks to Crystal Berger as they set up some interviews from Fox. Ray describes the friendship they have. Ray talks about Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fight with COVID-19. He talks about the good news that Gov. Cuomo is sending out about the death rates are lower than the day before and hopefully it will be the new trend. He talks about the reckless people that are still going out and not modeling what our leaders have asked us to do. Then he talks about his shopping experience. He went to Sirloin, formerly known as Countryside Butcher. He somehow gets back to the media and how they can’t stand it if there is any hope or good news. He talks about the small businesses that have put everything that they had into their businesses that are now all closed from no fault of their own. The media keeps asking for a date that the country will be opened back up for businesses. Trump doesn’t have a crystal ball and they can’t seem to get it. Ray questions the media in general’s ability to comprehend an answer.
Part 2: Ray talks about the media some more. He is really wound up. This time this is about the Right To Try and the drugs that have already been approved and used for years for other illnesses. He tells us that Doc Mike Ciampi will be joining us to discuss the drug and give us the possible side effects and benefits.
Part 3: Ray informs us of the new charge against President Trump. State Rep that has requested charges to be filed against him, yet again.
Part 4: Ray welcomes Doc. Mike Ciampi of Ciampi Family Practice. He says what he has done in his practice to help with the slowing the spread. They talk about the drug Hydroxychloroquine is classified as an anti-malarial drug. Doc explains what this drug does to fight Covid. He also explains the testing process. Ray asks him about the Vice President’s directive to get some hope…They talk about the common practice of using drugs for different purposes than they were designed for. They talk about Right To Try and the media’s negative Nelly’s. Ray asks him about the worst thing that could happen if this drug is taken. They talk about the dangers of buying drugs from other countries.
Part 5: Ray welcomes Carroll Conley of the Christian Civic League. Ray asks him his thoughts on the physical distancing and the affects that it has had on churches and Christians. Carroll is so proud of Maine churches and church leaders in response to this pandemic. He says that they have demonstrated the creative and fortitude to still spread God’s Word. They have a resource page on their website for information regarding Cononavirus. They talk about tithing and how important it is to the day-to-day upkeep of the building and staff. The boys talk about Easter and that it isn’t cancelled, we just need to celebrate differently.
Part 6: This is a really short segment. He says that Doc. Ciampi will be back next week to follow up with the Coronavirus discussion. If you have any questions for the Doc., you can text the Dirigo Text Line (207-409-6172) and he will do his best to get it answered.
Part 7: Ray welcomes Derek Gause. If you aren’t already friends or following him on Facebook you should, he has some creative podcasts and other musings. Ray asks him to explain some of the things that he has been doing. They talk about collecting comic books and how it can be very profitable. Ray brings up ComiCon. Ray asks him if he had heard about Ohio state Rep. Tavia Galonski (D) that wants to charge President Trump. They get into the overwhelming hatred and biased nature of the media. They compare the different presidents since and including President Clinton. Ray reminds us of the old saying “if it bleeds, it leads” but they have taken it to a whole new level.
Part 8: They talk about the difficulty of social distancing. Derek brings up the media questioning of President Trump’s COVID test.
Part 9: Ray talks about his niece, Brooke Richards. She writes a blog and is a contributor to Richardson Magazine. One of latest is about having a personal relationship with God and he reads from one of her blog submissions. She is doing a series during the month of April. She writes a new submission every day. Ray reads some of her piece titled, Lay it down. He follow up with his thoughts and comments. He uses this to talk about baseball, especially the Negro League. There was unbelievable talent that never got to be seen or shared because of the color of their skin.
