Ray plays a song that he had requested by Dan Merrill. He tells the story of the song and his relationship with Dan and Dan’s daughter Katie (singing backup). Ray introduces Joe Bruno and explains why he it in studio on Thursday, not on Friday. They talk about Chief Justice Leigh Saufley. She is stepping down to become Dean of the University of Maine School of Law.
Part 2: Ray and Joe touch on more of the contribution that Maine Chief Justice Leigh Saufley has made and her new position.
Part 3: Ray and Joe welcome News Center Maine‘s Pat Callaghan. They talk about the small business relief/stimulus loan to grant process. They applaud the bankers that have gone above and beyond to help business wade through the process. They also talk about working from home and how will that might change the landscape of how we do business in the future. How will it effect schools and Pat brings up the non-reliable broadband in Maine and how the more rural areas would have an unfair disadvantage for the lack of access.
Part 4: Ray, Joe and Pat are back and Pat announces a benefit/fundraiser. The Maine Telethon that News Center Maine is holding for neighbors to help their fellow neighbors with food, fuel assistance, and other services to help make ends meet. Ray asks Joe about They talk about the drug Hydroxychloroquine and if you can get it over the counter. Joe explains how you can get it.
Part 5: Ray and Joe welcome welcomes Dave Ciullo of Career Management Associates and Peter Lowe of Brann & Isaacson. They discuss employer and employee issues during this crisis. The talk about the unemployment and small business stimulus. There are a lot of new guidelines to get the state unemployment. Ray asks them several questions that his audience as asked him to relay. They also talk about the future.
Part 6: Ray and Joe discuss the drug Hydroxychloroquine which is labled as an anti-malarial drug. Joe as a pharmacist, explains what this drug does to fight Covid. They talk about the side effects and long term effects. This not an over the counter drug. Joe explains the chemical make up and how it works in your body. Ray asks Joe questions from the audience. Ray talks about the media and their attempts to put a wedge between Dr. Faci and President Trump. Joe is concerned that we are following what a few doctors are saying to do without the expertise in economics.
Part 7: Ray gets on his high horse about the media and the Negative Nellies regarding the unemployment numbers. Ray stresses that this was expected because you can’t shutter a business and not have to let go of employees. Ray and Joe welcome Kimberly Lindlof of Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce to discuss the CMP Corridor. They discuss the benefits that this will bring to the areas.
Part 8: Ray is still wound up that the elected folks (like Gov. Andrew Cuomo) who think that they know what is better for medical treatment than that of a doctor of medicine. They talk about the role of the Board of Pharmacy and the Right to Try Act.
