Part 1: Ray Richardson plays DJ and drifts back to summers on Daytona Beach. Ray talks about Governor Mills and Dr. Shah’s demeanor during the press conferences and the lack of true information. They don’t actually answer the questions that are posed to them. Ray brings up Speaker Sara Gideon. What is she doing to help Mainers and Maine businesses? Where is she? He speaks about the Senate President, Troy Jackson. He talks about the absolute power that has been given to Janet Mills and that the legislature needs to take theirs back. Ray talks about Oregon and their court rulings against their Governor. Ray talks about what is happening in Washington and what Troy Jackson is saying.
Part 2: Ray talks about the little black dress. Ray talks about the businesses that are still not opening.
Part 3: Ray, JJ Jeffrey talk about Randi Kirshbaum. She is an icon on the airwaves and her job is one of the latests cuts due to Covid-19. Although successfully working remotely for the past six weeks, her employer sited that she couldn’t do her job from home anymore. Due to a serious medical condition that would make contracting Covid-19 very dangerous, if not fatal for me her.
Part 4: Ray and David Jones welcome Garrett Gordon from The Dump Guy. Ray asks him how they are doing during this time of quarantine. They cover Kittery to Waterville. They will take anything but hazardous material. Ray asks him about the safety of going into a residence and Garrett explains what they do. Part 5: Ray and David talk about how small Maine is and the one degree of separation. They talk about the Governor’s lack of willingness to listen to anyone other than Dr. Shah.
Part 6: Ray and David talk about the article in the Portland Press Herald about a letter to the governor from owners of more than 80 small businesses in southern Maine in favor of the 14-day quarantine for out-of-state visitors to remain in effect. They take a call from Mike and they continue the discussion. Ray brings up Rick Savage and how they opened up the court to go after him and the Judge that did the Governor’s bidding. Ray gives an example of what Dr. Shah should be doing during his daily briefings. Ray takes another call. Ray and David talk about the Judge that seems to be in the pocket of Governor Mills. Ray says that he wants the courts to stand up and follow the written law.
Part 7: Ray and David welcome Derek Gause and Valerie Strout from Maine Flag Company located in Windham Maine next to Eric’s Church. They gave The Ray Richardson Show and WLOB the flag that is in our studio. Valerie gives us a lesson about our American Flag and Betsy Ross. Ray and Valerie talk more about the history of Maine. They talk about the fact that they are not considered essential they have been shuttered. The majority of her business happens between March and July 4th. She is frustrated from the Governor treating her like a child. She talks about some of her manufactures and is afraid that they won’t be able to meet the demand. Valerie talks about a flag represents the history of a country.
Part 8: Ray talks about the Covid-19 numbers that are given out during the Maine Daily Covid Briefings and how they are reported and how accurate they are. Ray speaks to the appointed Judge that ruled against Rick Savage of Sunday River Brewery. They talk about 1968 and the epidemic that happened back then including Woodstock and the schools weren’t shut down back then. Derek poses the question about the states that are continue to keep businesses closed and how they all seem to have Democratic Governors.
Part 9: Ray, Derek and David talk about how beautiful Maine is and Ray says it isn’t Maine that he is frustrated with it is the government. The government wants Mainers spying on other Mainers and reporting the non-compliant to the government. Ray asks Derek his thoughts about the $15 minimum wage that Portland has on the referendum.
