05-26-20 Tuesday
There is not a post for 05-25-20 Monday. It was Memorial Day.
Part 1: Ray Richardson talks about the effects that the Coronavirus has had. The mandates that Governor Mills has put into place infuriates him. Especially when he thinks about the amount of businesses that have closed in Maine. Then he starts comparing Florida and New York. Both have large metropolitan and rural areas, both have beaches, both both have had Covid-19. Their Governors handled the situation much differently with much different outcomes. The media has put Cuomo up on a pedestal, all the while demonizing DeSantos. Why? One is a Democrat and the other is a Trump supporting Republican.
Part 2: Ray gives today’s line up of guests on the show. He also brings up ranked choice voting and how it was done so it wouldn’t disrupt the Democratic Presidential Primary, but would be in effect for the vote for President.
Part 3: Ray is joined by David Jones. They talk about California and their practice of Ballot Harvesting. Ray explains what that means. The boys also get into Maine’s practices. No id required. David points out that it’s okay to stand in line to go into a store, but we can’t stand in line to vote.
Part 4: Ray welcomes all of the out-of-staters that come to Maine. The boys talk about the crazy 14 day quarantine requirement that Gov. Mills has imposed. They also welcome Rick Savage of Sunday River Brewery. He is staying at the Red Maple Inn in Guilford Maine. Rick has been picked to be made an example of what will happen if you defy Governor Mills’ orders. Rick points out discrepancies (not the truth) that the Maine government has made in court against him. They talk about Rick’s conversation with Bailey’s campground and their frustrations. They compare Mills with Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer and their rankings as worst Governor. Rick brings up the spying on businesses and neighbors. They also talk about Maine’s CDC Director Dr. Shah.
Part 5: Ray and David welcome Miranda Brannigan of Resurf Face. They talk about her struggles of owning her own business and how she has grown it to what it is now. Ray asks her if she has applied with the state to be open. She has given them several different scenarios that will work within their guidelines. Ray asks if the state had come down to inspect before denying her request. They talk about the creativity she has had to come up with to survive. They also talk about the lack of state unemployment help and yet they can pay prisoners unemployment. She gives a plug for businesses that would like to team up and work creatively to contact her.
Part 6: Ray and David welcome the boys from Jersey Mike’s. Jeff Martin is a longtime friend of Ray’s and he is opening up a new restaurant with Steve Casio. Also in studio is Corporate Manager Chad Faulkner. They will be opening in Maine in the Scarborough Gallery strip mall by Home Goods tomorrow.
Part 7: They boys continue to discuss the Jersey Mike’s that will be open for business tomorrow. The Jeff talks about some of the people that have come on board and Steve asks people to go to their Facebook page for more information.
Part 8: Ray and David talk about Jersey Mike’s sandwiches. Ray ate some of one of the Italian sandwiches that they brought in. Gary Crosby is in studio. He’s leading the way for the class-action suit against Governor Mills. He, David and Ray have all been working together on this to get it organized and funded. They talk about the people that want to come into the state and look at property and go back home, without a problem. Just don’t stay here. They talk about wearing masks the right way verses the wrong way. A caller who is concerned that there is going to be a huge uptick in deaths from preventable diseases and ailments because of the lack of care available. They also talk about some of the other major things that are not discussed like depression, suicides, opioid abuse just to mention a few. They take another call and it’s Texas Tom. He had just taken a course on Covid from John Hopkins for the heck of it. He tells the boys what he learned. Ray brings up the video on Facebook of the harassment of a person in a store for not wearing a mask. They take a call from Arthur Langley who is frustrated with the way the numbers of Covid have been reported in Maine. Gary and Arthur urge people to give to the Go-Fund Me account. It is going to take a lot of resources to take our state back from the anti-business Governor Mills.
