Recipe for Dee Dee’s Stuffed French Toast:
Ingredients: 8 pieces of stale bread, 16 oz cream cheese, cinnamon, 2C milk 1/3C maple syrup, and 12 eggs scrambled.
Cube and layer the bread and cream cheese by placing 1/2 of the bread cubes in a 13×9 baking pan, spread cubed cream cheese over the layer of bread, and cover the cream cheese with the rest of the bread. Sprinkle bread with cinnamon.
Mix all of the wet ingredients together well. Pour wet ingredients over the bread. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
Uncover and bake in a 375 F oven for 45 mins or until brown and not jiggly.
Serve with extra maple syrup/confectioners sugar and bacon.
