Segment 1: Ray Richardson and Claude Berube (Ret. Commander and Instructor at Annapolis Naval Academy and Author of The Philippine Pact: A Connor Stark Novel.) He describes the Connor Stark series premise. He and Ray catch up and the get right into the vote on LD1619. Dee Dee describes her pregnancies and Ray talks about the bill and quotes some of the Representatives that were in favor.
Segment 2: Ray continues with his thoughts about the Maine Legislature’s vote.
Segment 3: Claude and Ray talk about Claude’s books, coffee, price of houses, and Maine’s business climate. Gunny Mike Hall joins the boys and they talk about the share information about the Gold Star Tribute Wall visiting on June 23-25, 2023 at the Worumbo Riverfront Event Center at 1 Canal Street in Lisbon Falls. They talk about some other Washington monuments like the Vietnam Wall and others.
Segment 4: They talk about Star Trek and all of the different franchises, and the show Psych.
Segments 5-6: Mike Shepherd (Political Editor for the Bangor Daily News) join Ray, Claude, and Dee Dee. The discussion starts about coffee and after all of the procrastinating, they get into the vote on LD1619 and the media coverage.
Segment 7: Claude describes the Bible study that he has been using and really enjoying The Bible in a Year podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz and brings up a discussion about Faith. Ray reads a text from John DeGrinney (Len Libby Candies found at 419 US Route 1 Scarborough, ME 04074 – phone 207-883-4897) and another shout-out to Jim Robinson (Mainely Plumbing). They have some more frivolous chats.
Segment 8: Ray asks Claude a question about China.
Segment 9: Maine Rep. Laurel Libby (website: LaurelLibby.com email: laurel.libby@legislature.maine.gov phone: 207-632-7619 and Speak Up for Life) join the boys by phone to describe the timeline on the vote of LD1619 and how it went down, members of the House that were absent, and more.
Segment 10: Claude updates the Twitter poll on the coffee debate.
Segments 11-12: Ray asks Claude to compare the ship building abilities between China and the US, how the progression of commercial fleet and then naval to protect said commercial fleet and the other consequences of China growing as a power.
Segment 13: Chris Black (Nappi Distributors) joins Ray, Dee Dee and Claude in studio. Ray thanks him for all of the support Nappi gave to the Veterans Forward Radiothon and they get into some of the beers that they distribute and Fred Forsley (Shipyard Brewery).
Segment 14: The Governor backed school voucher program in Pennsylvania. They talk about when Claude played in little league, fried lobster rolls and the Drive Fore Kids Tournament that is raising money for the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and some of the celebrities participating.
Segment 15: Ray, Chris and Claude talk about the Drive Fore Kids Golf Tournament and some of the approachable celebrities that are playing, the organizers. Ben Smith (Junction Bowl / The Sidecar, and now open, Red City Ale House) joins the panel and they chat about Dan Drouin at Stockhouse.
Segment 16: Ray reintroduces the panel and thanks Nappi for sponsoring the Radiothon and other community events, asks Ben about some of the menu items at Red City and Claude talks about his newest book.
