Segment 1: Ray Richardson congratulates Bill Diamond and the Walk A Mile In Their Shoes committee for the fantastic and successful event last night at Erik’s Church. He then delves into the Trump and Insurrection.
Segment 2: Ray continues with his thoughts.
Segments 3-4: Ray talks about how all of the administrations of government over the history of our country have encroached on our rights and freedoms. Gunny Mike joins Ray and they continue to discuss the personal enrichment of the current day legislature, oil prices, and the Traveling Vietnam Wall in Sanford.
Segments 5-6: Sophia Pride (Steamboat Landing Mini Golf) and Mike Mercer (F3 Defense) join Ray and they talk about the Traveling Vietnam Wall and other monuments in Washington. Mike Shepherd (Political Editor for the Bangor Daily News) joins Ray after his “stay-cation”. They discuss the CMP/Pine Tree Power, and Troy Jackson’s issues.
Segment 7: Dr. John Herzog (QC Kinetics) and Steve DiMillo (Owner of DiMillo’s Floating Restaurant in Portland Maine) join the fun and they talk about the weather influencing the tourist industry, the restaurant’s hull, CMP, DiMillo’s weekend specials, and more.
Segment 8: Ray plays Danny Gokey‘s song, My America.
Segments 9-12: Ray welcomes Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce and the Cumberland County Jail Chaplain, Rev. Jeffrey McIlwain. They discuss the fundraising event Bill Diamond held and Ray asks the Sheriff if he encounters a lot of that type of abuse. They get into the ministry of Eastpoint and the Cumberland County Jail, how one moment/conversation can change a life, Dr. Demi Kouzounas joins the fun and they share their long time connection, Rev. Jeff shares that his “secret” to his success is that he deals with relationship and the rest follow. They talk about some of the programs that are designed to help their “guests” to reintegrate back into society and the need for volunteers to come in to help with all of the different aspects and religions. Sheriff Joyce talks about some of the programs that they used to have and the need for more correction officers to continue the program.
Segments 13-16: The panel continues to discuss. Sophia had to head to school and Maine Rep. Reagan Paul joins the fun. Ray passes on a question from an audience about the Eastpoint donation money uses. The discussion of substance abuse, role it plays in incarceration, solving the problem, safe injection sites, root of the problems, how do we solve these problems. Rev. Jeff serenades us. Ray asks the question where we do we start and where do we go from here. Sheriff Joyce shares the details about the remembrance ceremony of 9/11.
