Part 4: News Center Maine‘s Pat Callaghan joins Ray and Bob. They discuss the bump music that was played Coming to America and the memories and feelings that it stirs up, immigrants, immigration history, KKK in Maine was about religion…not race. They talk about how a song can influence, Ray brings up Political Brew starting back up in Sept. and Pat explains some of the changes that have been made to the segment.
Part 5: Ray, Pat and Bob continue to discuss Political Brew and John Richardson’s contributions.
Part 6: Ray urges people to come and visit our beautiful state of Maine, people and businesses that stand up like Wally Camp of Rowe Ford and John Peterson of Schuette Metals, his Dad’s birthday and memories of a birthday party. He takes a couple of calls. First is a caller asking about the shutdown of the country. Mike calls in about the Governor and Clinton’s comment to Biden to never concede, mail-in voting, street justice and more. Another caller talks about the school system not teaching the true history of our country, the angry mobs, Martin Luther King’s influence, and the change in American values.
Part 7: Ray talk about Bill Cohen’s comments. White House Deputy Press Secretary, Hogan Gidley calls in to discuss some of the Republican Convention speakers and the message that is being sent, the vision of American prosperity was being realized before Covid hit, the growth of America in the last generation, Biden’s Crime Bill vs Trump’s criminal justice reform, and more.
Part 8: Ray plays “Get Over It” by the Eagles and says that this should be the new anthem of America. He takes several calls: one from an anti-Trumper with a conspiracy theory, Paul from Ormand Beach with concerns and insights, another caller says that his parents would be rolling over in their graves with the way Americans are behaving and the boycotts of some of the sports games. Ray tells a story about his Uncle and the 10 year old boy that writes the President and the wisdom of his father. He ends up with working hard for what you want and that you have to earn the Presidency vs the “it’s my turn” mentality, and more.
Part 9: Ray enjoys the Eagles again and quotes the Former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, about how you can tell you live in a great country and continues with the difference in Democracy and what is happening in our country right now.
