Part 1: Ray is a little all over the place. Starts off with crazytown. The ruling of the Supreme Court about abortion and how the government is the one that has been the entity that has been stifling the rights. He also talks about how political that the Supreme Court has become.
Part 2: Ray gives a quick preview of this morning’s show.
Part 3: Ray, Jeff Mannix and David Jones discuss the bump music and Disco. Ray stresses that it is time for people to start paying attention and take sides.
Part 4: Ray reminisces about singing with Diana Ross. Ray comments about a story regarding the NBA, their season, racial tension and Disney. He talks about the cost of a ticket and if they really wanted to do something real, reduce your ticket prices so that the average person can go to a game. Ray and David compare the way differences were dealt with when he was a kid to how they are now. Ray can empathize with the people pulling down statues, and can understand how they feel unheard and invisible, but that it doesn’t make it right. They take a call….
Part 5: Ray continues with the cause of protesters tearing down statues and misbehaving.
Part 6: Ray and David talk about Lena Horne. David and Ray talk about Sen. Chuck Schumer and his speech to President Trump about Russia targeting US soldiers. They talk about Pres. Trump and his deregulations so far and then get into Former VP Joe Biden and the voter rolls. David says that he wants ID’s shown at the voting polls. Ray talks about Maine Rep. Rich Cebra’s bill that he sponsored. They take a call about the process of how keeping the voter rolls accurate.
Part 7: Ray and David sing with Neil Diamond (not good). They welcome Derek Gause and they discuss the New York Times article, the property owners defending their home with guns, the NBA and Black Lives Matters, racism, Uncle Tom book, and raising a free thinker.
Part 8: Ray gives Derek full run to state his thoughts about the current affairs in our country. He has a real problem with the Democrats. He goes into detail about his thoughts about the statues and monuments that have been taken down and the one particular person that has been left alone even though he had KKK ties while in office. US Sen. Robert C. Byrd was the longest-serving senator and longest-serving member in the history of the United States Congress. They take a call from Mike who thanks Derek for his service and also the brave “brothers” that saved his life. He urges any veteran to call him anytime they need to talk.
Part 9: Ray poses two questions: 1.) How do you bridge the gap between the community and cops. 2.) School resource officers in Maine schools. Ray and Derek chat and then Derek gives his true feelings and speaks his truth.
