Part 1: Ray Richardson is somber this morning. He talks about the working people and he thanks them from the bottom of his heart. He talks about the “public servants” and how that is a farce. That is what someone that works for government is sometimes called, but it is far from accurate. Ray talks about the many businesses that have had to permanently closed the doors on their business, dreams, livelihood.
Part 2: Ray pleads with a business owner that had texted him with the story of his business, the loss of his wife and their dreams together to please contact him again. Ray is fearful for this man.
Part 3: Ray pleads with business owners and anyone else who is thinking they have nowhere to turn or nobody to talk to about business or personal issues, he is more than willing to talk to you no matter the time of day.
Part 4: Ray and David Jones talk about Governor Mills, Maine’s Speaker of the House Sara Gideon and Maine Senate Leader Troy Jackson. The Legislature needs to come back and remove some of the executive powers and take charge of the state again. David explains his position quite emotionally. He wholeheartedly agrees with Ray and is tired of hearing about companies closing their doors and the Governor dictating what he can do as a private citizen. Ray pipes in about her quarantining healthy people and the hypocrisy that Janet Mills has depending on what hat she is wearing. Mike calls in and he talks about the medical/funeral staff have been instructed to basically naming any death as a covid death. They talk about that and the fear that they spreading. He urging anyone that needs help and is on the edge to call him (207) 373-0960. He works with a lot of Veterans and works to get each person that calls the help that they need.
Part 5: Ray gives a preview of the rest of today’s show and guests.
Part 6: Ray and David talk to Miranda Brannigan of Resurf Face. They talk about her experience at the Sunday River Brewery. She says that she didn’t go up there for the food, even though it was delicious, but for the support of Rick Savage. Ray talks about Miranda’s daughter, Acadia, and her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Ray talks about the stores that are open, but she can’t be. Miranda has made the resolve that she is not going to lay down her business and legacy. They talk about what she is doing to get through this. Ray says that he will help her get her website up so she can sell gift cards and merchandise. She gives out her website Resurf Face.
Part 7: Ray and David are joined by Derek Gause. Derek shares a proud moment for his family. His dad is now the first african american President of the Elks. He is a member of Lodge #9 out of Augusta. They are joined by Former Maine Sen. Amy Volk. She and Derek Volk own Volk Packaging. They make boxes to that help manufacturers get their products out. She explains what they have done to keep their employees safe. Ray asks her if the Governor told her how to set up shop safely. Amy says no, they came up with all of these safety measures by collaborating with employees and other businesses. She is frustrated with the timeline of reopening our state/country. David agrees with Amy on the lack of leadership. Ray praises Amy and Derek on their business practice model. The Volks have always claimed that Volk Packaging was a family business, not just bloodline, but if you work there you become family. They were true to their motto. They found ways to keep their family safe while continuing to work. The panel talk about common sense. Amy compares some of the hysteria vs common sense requirements and procedures.
Part 8: Ray, David and Derek Gause continue their discussion. They talk about the liberal mindset. They always have a target. They talk about the motives, Bill Gates, George Soros, Margaret Sanger and other people in high places that has over time picked winners and losers. They end up with The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). What is their role and why are they so silent.
Part 9: Ray and David end the show by thanking all of their guests. Ray talks about the Governor not being capable of running the state. She is acting as a dictator by not collaborating with all of the different industries and come to some compromises. Ray says that Sara Gideon and Troy Jackson should be calling the state Legislature back into session. Ray talks about the 31 businesses that have contacted him about closing their doors.
