Part 1: Ray talks about his music choice and then gives a outline of today’s show. He talks about the Jay Paper Mill explosion and he experience there. Then talks about civil unrest. He talks about how this unrest is waking up a lot of people that normally don’t say or do…are. Ray stresses that people are not designed to be in cages and cooped up. He says then you add the media frenzy and not stating truth, but spreading fear and untruths and it isn’t going to get any better. Ray asks who can you trust? Between cover ups, skewing information, straight out lie and the media from everyone we are suppose to trust including the politicians, the Worldwide Health Organization (WHO), China and the media. He also talks about NATO and they the United States’s funding and the unfair proportion that we pay over other countries.
Part 2: Ray is joined by Bob Witkowski by phone and they talk about the effects that the stay in place is having on people and Bob stresses that we just need to stay calm. They talk about sports and playing with out people in the stands.
Part 3: Ray and Pat Callaghan of News Center Maine briefly discuss the explosion at the Jay Mill and how bless and lucky that there weren’t any major casualties or injuries. Pat wanted to take some time to really give a big thank you to all that contributed to the United Way Telethon that they held last Thursday. He names CMP and Poland Spring Water that gave huge donations and the average personal donation was around $100. They talk about the people being laid off and how generous Maine companies and people are during these tough times. The boys also talk about the restlessness that is starting to begin and other states civil unrest. People are starting to worry about homes and get really lonely and now that Spring is here people want to get out. They talk about the timing of Maine getting back to Maine and back to work. Ray brings up China’s role and how they seemed to stay relatively safe as a country. They talk about who is classified as front-line workers and need more protective equipment. Pat stresses that we will be ready for the next problem and supply chain.
Part 4: Ray and Pat continues with their discussion. Pat tells the story of when Jesse Jackson came to visit the Mill in Jay Maine and why the WCSH family calls the mill by the town and the alligators of the media.
Part 5: Ray welcomes longtime friend and former Maine State Representative and Maine State Senator Tom Saviello. Tom in his real jobs before he retired, he primarily worked in the field of forestry and worked as an Environmental Manager at the Jay mill that had an explosion yesterday. Tom explains how the equipment works and what could have happened. Ray and Tom both acknowledge that it was a gift from God that no one was seriously hurt or killed. Tom gives a great history of the mill and the turnaround of it. Tom hopes that they will be able to rebound and rebuild. Ray and Tom discuss how it was designed to explode up if there was a problem. If not this would have had a much different outcome.
Part 6: Ray says that he will be opening up the phone lines and addressing questions and comments from the Dirigo Partners Text Line.
Part 7: Ray talks about the role of Worldwide Health Organization (WHO) and NATO. He talks about the questions for China and why are they off limits according to WHO. He takes a call about the justification of keeping Maine in quarantine. He takes a call from Mike about the media and the propaganda for Red China. He believes that it is almost treasonous.
Part 8: Ray reads a text about blaming the Democrats for not passing the funding Payroll Protection Plan (PPP). Ray goes into great detail about what this program is designed to do and some of what the Democrats are trying to slide into the bill and are holding their vote until the Republicans give in to their demands.
Part 9: Ray says that there will be a huge unemployment number coming out. These numbers are to be expected, but the media is going to play it up. He reads a story regarding the numbers and not once in the story do they mention that the government has shutdown most of the businesses and asked everyone to stay home. Ray talks about how the country and Maine’s economy was booming. Whenever there is anything, the media is rooting against America. Ray takes a call and Gordon asks him what will happen when and if Maine runs out of money. Ray gives a great detailed explanation of each step that will happen. He talks about the confusion with all of the programs out there to help businesses and employees. He reminds people that CNN had to pull a story because they had sided with the Communist Red Chinese over America and Americans. He takes another call and Arthur stresses that Trump is just trying to get Americans to remember what made America great.
Part 10: Ray reminds people to not be surprised or stress about the unemployment numbers. You can’t have governors all over the country closing businesses and not expect them to be able to keep their employees. Ray takes a call from Andy of Sanford.
