Part 1: Ray starts out with President Trump’s vehement statement that he will never allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. He continues to with his confusion on American Patriotism. He wants to know why US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has decided as rockets are still being fired to tie the President’s hands to wage war with Iran.
Part 2: Ray and Bob Witkowski of Visit Portland discuss football. Bob is an avid New Orleans Saints fan and Ray offered his condolences to their loss. They talk about the playoff games coming up and then touch on the Super Bowl.
Part 3: Ray re-introduces Bob and JJ Jeffrey. JJ comes back with a comment about PT’s sign. This leads to a discussion about strip clubs in general.

Part 4: Ray plays a clip from the Golden Globes and how Ricky Gervais made fun of the Hollywood crowd on their hypocrisy. Ray then reads a story from the Chicago Tribune about Cook County judge has ordered Google to turn over Jussie Smollett’s emails, photos, location data and private messages for an entire year as part of the special prosecutor’s investigation into the purported attack on the actor. Ray and Bob discuss the case that began the whole thing. This leads into a discussion about The University of Southern Maine’s decision to stand by their decision to display an art exhibit that includes a desecrated Bible. The artwork, called “Unholy Bible: Very Revised Standard Edition,” also depicts the head of Jesus Christ covered with a Satanic image.
Part 5: Ray reads about the first day of Maine’s Legislature and one of the bills. Gov. Mills states “The Made for Maine Health Coverage Act sets Maine-specific deductibles and copays, offers a Maine solution for small businesses, and creates a marketplace designed to best meet the needs of Maine people,”. Joining the governor were Senate President Troy Jackson and House Speaker Sara Gideon, both Democrats.
Part 6: Ray and Bob welcome David Ciullo of Career Management Associates. Dave also hosts the HR PowerHour heard here on WLOB Radio. The new year brings in new changes for employers. The minimum wage has increased and there is also a new revised version of seven different Maine state required employee posters. You can find the free downloads for the posters here. Ray brings up the point that this is just accepted as a cost of doing business and it is astounding to him. Bob asks Dave about his projection of 2020. Dave explains that now employers can’t ask any real questions about past or current qualifications so now it will be hard to tell which is the best candidate for your company. Ray brings up the Democrats cry that Trump has no credibility to run the country, based on that premise, people making laws should have to sign the front of a paycheck for understanding.
Part 7: Ray and Bob start with what a beautiful day and the briefly chat about the weather and movies. Ray goes back to how the Speaker of the House seems to be supporting Iran over the American President. In a previous segment, Ray had said that if this was happening during Hitler’s time, we would be speaking German because they would have given them the keys to the house. Ray states all of the reasons that the “swamp people” hate Trump. The boys talk about the difference between the response of Presidents Obama and Trump.
Part 8: Ray explains the timeline of this long history with Iran. He says it all started during President Carter’s Administration with the Iran Hostage Crisis. He then heads to President Reagan’s Administration and the Iran-Contra Affair. He fast forwards to President Obama’s Administration and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and the money that was giving to Iran. To President Trump’s Administration with withdrawing from the agreement and the attacks on Americans and American assets.
Part 9: Ray welcomes Pat Callaghan of News Center Maine by phone. They talk a bit about the Maine Legislature and their plans. Hopefully they will be able to get some of the fundamental needs for a robust economy to include high-speed internet broadband. Not to mention better cell phone coverage along with some of the other aspects that rural Maine would need to be able to work from home.
Part 10: Ray and Pat talk about how Maine is just one big town. Pat tells a story about Former Maine Gov. Baldacci and his fundraiser for an elderly person who had gotten scammed that he had heard about on News Center Maine. They continue to talk about Baldacci.
