Part 1: Ray starts off with thoughts about Jim Acosta who is CNN’s chief White House correspondent. CNN announced Tuesday that it will sue the White House over reporter Jim Acosta’s press pass being revoked. Ray and Rachel Sutherland of Fox News Radio continue this thought and then they hit which Republicans in the House will hold leadership elections today.
Part 2: Debi and David Jones joins Ray in studio. The discussion was about what else? The elections and how Democrats don’t like the results, they keep fighting.
Part 3: Ray reads the LA Times’s spin on the election. He states that this is why people have lost the confidence in the media for the truth.
11-13-18 Political Roundtable
Part 1: Ray, Debi and David start out with a debate on Trump’s tweet about mismanagement of funds to fight fires. Fox News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers joins us and gives a snapshot of Stan Lee and the contributions he made to all of us. Ray and David go back to their previous discussion. Debi joins in asking if Trump hurt our Maine races. Ray states that republicans don’t project compassion.
Part 2: Ray, David and Debi continue with the discussion. Ray reads a text from a listener that disagree with Ray.
Part 3: The group welcome Maine’s Secretary of State Matt Dunlap. He explains the process on collecting the ballots and counting them. He also describes the security process and measures that have been taken to maintain the sanctity of the ballots. They talk about the issue of towns not getting their ballots/information into the state.
Part 4: Ray welcomes Ellie Espling and GOP Chair Demi Kouzounas to the table. Unfortunately, Ellie didn’t prevail in her race for State Senate. She and Demi give their thoughts on the blue wave.
Part 5: The panel talks about the laws and changing laws after they passed even if it isn’t liked or constitutional. If we don’t like a law, you can’t just ignore it, you have to change it.
Part 6: The panel takes a call from Fox News Radio’s Jon Decker for a President Trump update. He brings up Patron and close (not) allies the President has.
Part 7: They talk about media and running the Republican message.
Part 8: They all agree that we need to hold people to their campaign promise and Ray says in his opinion, the Republicans don’t get their message out there.
