Part 1: Ray and Debi comment on the music Debi lead the show with this morning. Pres. Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump, his daughter and son-in-law at the Tree of Life temple in Pittsburgh to pay his respects to the victims of the horrific shooting. Ray was disgusted by the protesters that showed up to the funerals. President Donald Trump says he intends to end birthright citizenship with an executive order. Ray and Debi ended up in quite a discussion on the 14th Amendment and Executive Power. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on July 9, 1868, and granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,”.
Part 2: Fox News Radio’s Jon Decker joins Ray and Debi along with David Jones. Ray asks Jon about the 14th Amendment. Jon is an attorney as well as a reporter. Ray asks Jon about Pittsburgh.
10-30-18 Political Roundtable
Part 1: Ray talks about Eastpoint Church and describes the music and dynamic. He and Ellie talk about the Pastor, Scott Taube, and his message. Ray, Ellie and David talk about the safe space that the church gives and mental and spiritual healing that continues during the week. Ellie and Ray both reminds people that people get their healing from GOD, not GOV. State Rep. Nate Wadsworth brings in State House District 22 candidate Mark Blier.
Part 2: Ray introduces Nate and Mark and goes into Hallmark Channel. They named Wordsworth and not Wadsworth and Ray thought it was a mistake.
Part 3: Ray says there is a citizens initiative to stop political commercials on Hallmark. The panel is joined by Westbrook Council Candidate Deb Shangraw. They take a call about Congressional Candidate Mark Holbrook. They continue the discussion on voting Republican and party lines.
Part 4: The panel welcomes State GOP Chair Demi Kouzounas. They finally let Mark talk. Ray asks why he chose to run for office.
Part 5: The panel takes a call about Referendum Question 1. The panel gives some of the background of where it came from and lists some of the people that are against it. This is a hard left idea and construct funded by out-of-state money. There was no public hearing for LD1864. Part 8: Deb brings up a Hillary Clinton interview that she says that Hillary said something racist. They discuss how it is okay the Dems to be “racist”, but if anyone thought Obama’s policies were wrong, they were racist. They all agree, we need to get out and vote on Tuesday!!!!!
10-30-18 Election Business
Part 1: Ray and Debi talk about the dropouts in yesterday. Independent Gubernatorial Candidate Alan Caron dropped out of the race. Debi was surprised by who Alan announced that he would he support for Governor. The Cumberland County District Attorney Democratic Candidate dropped out because of allegations against him. Congrats to Jonathan Sahrbeck, the next D.A. Ray talks about the New Jersey race for Senate. Ray stresses how important it is that people go and vote. The far left’s behavior, if the Dems take the House and Senate, will continue in the despicable fashion that it has been doing.
Part 2: David Jones, Making Maine Great Again PAC, joins Ray and Debi. They talk about the News Center Maine’s Senate forum with Angus King (I), Eric Brakey (R) and Zac Ringelstein (D).
Part 3: State Senate Candidate Ellie Espling joins the group. Ray mentions the TV ad for Congressman Bruce Poliquin that Ellie makes an appearance.
10-29-18 Pete McVety
Part 1: Speaking about Yarmouth, Pete McVety of McVety’s Hearth and Home joins Ray and Debi. They talk about how busy Pete is because there aren’t enough trades people to hire.
Part 2: This segment Ray, Debi and Pete talk about all of the horrific events that happened over the weekend. Ray poses the question, “why isn’t the person that actually did the crime, held accountable for his own actions. Why is it that someone else’s rhetoric is to blame.”
Part 3: Ray, Debi and Pete are joined by Fox New Radio’s Jon Decker. Jon gives the bad news to Ray that the Red Sox Flag is not flying at the White House. Jon and Ray talk about the delicate juggling act that the President has between congratulating newly elected officials and being solemn with the tragic events that happened in Pittsburgh. Ray asks Jon about Bill Nelson’s race. Ray brings back the discussion about the media’s role in the divisive atmosphere of our country. Ray reads a story about the NBC news and a witness.
