Part 1: Ray goes back to his thoughts on Sen. Susan Collins and how the Supreme Court proceedings have become nothing but a circus. He pleads with the Sen. to stand up and fight the modern day tyranny that is taking over our country. McCarthyism is alive and in practice now. McCarthyism is the practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence. Sen Collins, Stand up and do what is right.
Part 2: Ray welcomes News Center Maine’s Pat Callaghan. They begin with Pat and the Broadcaster Hall of Fame. They talk about the Supreme Court Nomination of Judge Kavanaugh.
Part 3: They talk about the Kavanaugh developments with the guys coming forward on behalf of the Judge. Ray asks Pat what are his thoughts.
09-27-18 Rowe Ford’s Drive For Your School
Part 1: Ray joined by Rob O’Leary and Mark Camp of Rowe Ford. Rob is the Athletic Director of Portland High School. They are here to promote Drive For Your School. It is a fun fundraiser. Rowe Ford will donate to Portland High School for test driving a qualifying car. Rob describes some of their programs and where the funds will benefit. There will be specific cars that qualify for the fundraiser. Come down for hamburgers, hot dogs and fun on this Saturday, September 29. Mark describes how Rowe Ford can help you or your organization. This event is being held at Rowe Ford at 91 Main Street in Westbrook from 8am to 1pm. Ray talks about the Camp family and how supportive they are of the community. Ray continue to talk about the Camp Family and how they are always supporting their community and how fun it is to test drive cars. Ray describes his daughter’s experience in buying a car and how she was treated at Rowe.
09-27-18 Busy Thursday Morning
Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss the overnight developments in the Kavanaugh circus. Ray re-steps the timeline on the accusations. There are a lot of things that just don’t make sense to him or Debi. Ray and Debi welcome Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland. They continue with the new developments that include a couple of men that have come forward to defend Judge Kavanaugh’s personal character.
Part 2: Ray welcomes Bob Witkowski in studio. Bob Witkowski is from Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before You Die. Bob brings us the Maine Marathon. He explains why this is such an iconic race. It is happening this Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 7:45 a.m. Your family and friends can easily access the start/finish line along beautiful Back Cove in Portland. He also talks about the Liberty Ship Memorial located at Bug Light. He reminds us of this historic landmark and how and why it was important. Bob also has some book signings coming up for his new book….100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before you Die, 2nd Edition is available at Sherman’s Books and Amazon.
Part 3: Ray and Bob continue this Kavanaugh descriptions. Larry, a frequent caller from South Portland called in and is frustrated with the way the “other side” is behaving.
Part 4: Ray reads a couple of text messages and one of them is directed to Bob. The question is would he write a novel similar to “Weekend at Bernie’s”. This sparks a discussion about some of the great things happening during October in Maine.
Part 5: Ray plays “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire. They talk about Sam Adams it being his birthday. They talk about the hearing today. Ray stresses that this whole thing is over Roe v Wade. Ray and Bob talk about history and the need for civic duty. They get into a little bit of Maine history and Margaret Chase Smith. Ray pleads for Sen. Susan Collins to act like her mentor and stand up to this modern day McCarthyism….
