Part 1: Ray and Bob are joined by Loren Fields. They start off talking about dining experiences, especially The White Barn Inn in Kennebunk. Some how they end up talking about the media and now it is time for them to step up and do their job.

Part 3: Ray reads a story of Maine firms that made it on the INC. Magazine. Ray reads another story, this one is about LL Bean and their return policy. Ray tells his metaphor about his green LL Bean coat. Bob tells a story about the stewardess of the plane that crashed in the Hudson. The boys take a call from an LL Bean employee about the Maine State warranty and LL Bean’s policy. Somehow they end up on mental illness. Bob mentions Glenn Close and her mission to end the stigma of mental illness. Her foundation is Bring Change to Mind. The website is https://bringchange2mind.org.
Part 4: Ray and Loren continues the discussion on the mental well being and gives a couple of options for support. Ray talks about the work of The Eastpoint Church is doing and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). In the August issue of the Richardson magazine, there are a couple of resources, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention AFSP walk coming up on Sept. 8. The boys continue their faith discussion.
Part 5: Loren and Ray talk about Canada and the problem they are having with their elections.
08-16-18 Thursday’s First Hour
Part 1: Ray talks about Steve Perry’s new album and single. He then heads into the “swamp”. He talks about the media in America. More than 300 newspapers have pledged to run editorials today defending freedom of the press in response to Pres. Trump. Ray is frustrated because there seems to be a lack of interest in staying neutral in covering a story. He talks about the difference in the delivery of the message.
Part 2: Fox News Radio’s Simon Owen gives us an update on the American pastor in Turkey situation. Yesterday Turkey rejected the U.S.’ appeal for Andrew Brunson’s release from detention. He was arrested in October 2016 during a nation-wide purge of suspected dissidents following the aftermath of a failed coup in July 2016 and is now being tried on espionage and terror-related charges. Brunson was moved to house arrest in July 2018.
Part 3: Ray starts off with the good news from the Richardson’s…LelaMarie, his daugher, got engaged to a wonderful man, Brandon Griffith. Congrats to them!!!! Then Bob Witkowski gives us some fun stuff to do in Portland! Bob Witkowski is from Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before You Die. Bob follows up Ray’s endorsement of DiMillo’s Floating Restaurant. He also has discovered a cute little museum on Peaks Island. The Umbrella Cover Museum. It is a quirky little museum, but a lot of fun.
08-15-18 Sen. Bill Diamond
Part 1: Ray is joined by State Sen. Bill Diamond. The dig into Medicaid expansion. Bill supports it because he sees who it will benefit. Ray asks him “How do we pay for it?” They have quite a discussion. Frequent Caller Larry calls in to praise Sen. Diamond for his hard work. Bill sounds like he is supporting Pres. Trump.
Part 2: Ray and Bill continue the discussion on the Maine Legislature. They talk about DHS and how that needs to be addressed. Bill thinks that they will come back and deal with what needs to be addressed, not just kick the can down the street. The boys take a call from Bill of Casco. He asks about Bill about the waste of time the “investigation” into different Trump issues, including the last Omarosa accusation.
Part 3: Ray and the Senator talk about a whole hosts of topics regarding how social media has taken such a mean turn. Ray has gotten off of Twitter because it has gotten so nasty. They continue this line of discussion into the Trump campaign and now it seems as if everyone is campaigning in that style. We as a society and nation need to do better!
Part 4: Fox News Radio’s Jon Decker joins the Senator and Ray to discuss the Omarosa/Trump saga. The media asking questions that were leaning toward racist comments. Jon states that Trump is not biased on who he will attack. Ray gives a plug for Jon’s book.
Part 5: Ray and Bill discuss offending people…They take a call from Gordon Draper to talk about public hearings on referendums going to the people to vote on. They talk about how out-of-state money has taken hold of our state elections and there isn’t the resources to fight people’s referendums. They also hit on non-citizens voting in Maine.
Part 6: Representative Rich Cebra is on the line to talk to Sen. Bill Diamond about getting back to Augusta and getting things done. Ray talks about Steamboat Landing Mini Golf up in Naples
