06-15-18 Camara Clifton
Ray is joined by Camara Clifton, a political strategist with Clifton Network Partners. They discuss the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, the release of his highly anticipated assessment of the law enforcement agency’s conduct during the 2016 election. The report reviewed the FBI and DOJ’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email case and AG Jeff Sessions warned that the findings could lead to more firings. Sessions told The Hill on Wednesday that the option of “termination” was on the table for those accused of serious wrongdoing. It is unclear whether Sessions knows which individuals will be cited in the forthcoming report, but several top FBI and DOJ officials are likely to come under criticism in the findings by the IG. For over a year the IG has been reviewing those agencies’ actions related to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State.
