Ray starts this segment with Linda Sarsour and Sharia Law. Ray doesn’t understand how it is ok for people to come into our country and change it and nobody seems to mind. He switches gears to President Trump’s tariffs. Ray doesn’t agree with tariffs. Why didn’t he just impose the tariff instead of waiting. Is he sending a message or what? A tariff usually has a negative affect on the economy. Ray talks some of the bad deals that other Presidents have made including the hostages that were held for over 400 days and not able to recoup some of the loss. Ray touches on the growth of the economy.
03-05-18 Oscars
Ray starts out talking about the Oscars. He wanted Christopher Plummer to win, but didn’t. There was a lot of irony on last night’s show. Kobe Bryant won, he was accused of rape, Jane Fonda sat in the middle of things and we know she is a strong woman, not afraid to stand up for what she believes yet she knew about Weinstein, but all they could do was attack the President and Vice President. Bill from Casco calls in to the show.
03-05-18 It’s About The Kids…
Ray and Debi talk about Cheeseburgers….Ray brags a teeny, tiny bit about his granddaughter Carter, aka CLT. He talks about Tripp and his engagement. He talks about how the kids keep growing and evolving. He goes on to text messages and asks Debi if she thinks Ray has more of an edge to him. They talk about the culture and how there is no discussion in society today compared to years past. Somehow he has gotten to businesses being able to make a decision to whom they do business and he gives examples. He goes back to the hard edge question. It was based on some of the text messages about Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon.
03-05-18 School Walkout
Ray and Debi talk about how schools are saying that the children should get more involved and we should listen to what they are saying. They talk about the kids planning a walkout to protest guns and school safety. Debi is emphatic that they should start with social studies and civics classes so that they know and understand the way our government was founded and runs. Ray believes that if we start making laws and rules based on the students, our country is bigger trouble than he thought.
