Ray is outraged by a the tweet – sent out by the Autonomous Student Network (ASN) at UT-Austin – states “Instead of #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay how about #LawEnforcementIncinerationDay” next to a photo of a French police officer engulfed in flames after being hit by a Molotov cocktail during last year’s May Day protests. Needless to say WLOB doesn’t agree and instead we lift them up and have teamed up with the Red Claws and Sea Dogs and host games to thank them.
01-16-18 Political Roundtable
Part 1: Ray and the boys talk about gender. There seems to be a strong movement to have more and more recognized genders. Ray explains it, Ray’s way. David recaps so everyone can understand. We have a couple of calls, and the bottom line of the callers was Good vs Evil.
Part 2: Bill from Casco calls in and talks about the callers from the prior segment.
Part 3: Assistant Leader Ellie Espling joins us by phone. Rich brings up a committee meeting in which the Chair of the Meeting shut another committee member’s microphone off while she was addressing the committee.
Part 4: Republican Party Chair Demi Kouzounas joins us and announces that she was invited to go to the State of the Union Address and will be able to meet Pres. Trump in the Oval Office.
Part 5: Ray is shocked about Seth Berry turning off Beth O’Conner’s mike. Demi talks about how political everything has gotten. Ray talks about the hard left agenda. Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland calls in and gives us an update on the looming Government Shutdown. She says that Republicans will probably blame the Democrats and they probably will not have a problem with it and use it to their advantage later. Somehow they end up with insurance.
Part 6: Arthur Langley calls in to congratulates Demi on her invitation to the State of the Union Address.
Part 7: Discussion is about the comment from Trump about the drug and murder capitols of the world and how the Democrats said the same thing and nothing from the media. State Rep. Beth O’Conner joins us by phone to give her side of the drama of the power struggle over Bill 1686. She was challenging the bill and the Chair didn’t like it. Committee Chair Seth Berry badgered the CMP witness and wouldn’t let others speak, Beth wasn’t the only person.
01-16-18 Voter ID
Ray, Rich, and David Jones talk about Voter Identification. Right now there isn’t any and can lead to voter fraud. What are the Democrats so afraid of? Voter ID would guarantee who was voting is truly the name on the voter role.
01-16-18 Doug Thomas
Former State Rep. Doug Thomas calls in and the boys continue discussing Janet Mills’ bill. Doug also remembers what it was like walking in the the State House and then reminisce on his thoughts of some of the new people that got elected after him.
