Deb Shangraw of Emerald Management representing Maine Real Estate Management Association (MREMA), brings in two handsome Marines again. Staff Sgt. Drew Roberson and 1st SG7 Jeffrey Langella. Drew is the Toys for Tots Coordinator. Jeff was born and raised in South Portland. They are here to promote MREMA Toys For Tots & Teens Benefit Dinner & Auctions taking place on Friday December 1, 2017 starting @ 5pm. You can start the bidding now on their website. 11-22-17 Ethan Strimling
Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling joins David Jones, Joel Williams, Bill Diamond and Ray by phone. They talk about Monday night’s City Counsel meeting and some of the changes that were made. There should be accountability for spending. Fixed costs go up and you can’t blame the Governor for that. Joel tells Ethan that his daughter and son-in-law moved here two years ago and feel like they’re home.

Part 2: Casey describes the beautiful tree that was donated from a Wesbrook family for the Portland Tree Lighting on Friday night (11/24) starting at 5pm. Shawn formally announced his bid for Governor. He thanks everyone that came out to support him. Somehow the discussion went to license plates. Shawn explains his philosophy on business, family and what really matters in life. Wants everything to be transparent as it is in his business.
Part 3: Casey tells us there are 5,000 LED lights on the tree, She then tells us about the Shop for a Cause. When you shop at any of our participating locations on Saturday, November 25th, a portion of your purchase will directly benefit Amistad, a Peer Support and Recovery Center in Portland. This incredible nonprofit organization provides a safe and welcoming community for adults who struggle with mental illness, addiction, and other life challenges. Portland Downtown has funded all of the lights and the horse carriage rides. Joel as a visitor to Portland, notes that the downtown is so vibrate. That it is great to have people live and work in the same space. The sense of community is outpouring.
Part 4: The discussion turns to politics and how we all need to work and talk together. It is nice to see that happening in Portland and in Maine.
