Fox News Radio’s Simon Owen updates us with South Korea: You can see a lot of things from an airplane window — including, it seems, North Korea’s latest missile test. Airline Cathay Pacific saying crew aboard a flight from San Francisco to Hong Kong last week reported seeing what’s thought to have been the missile re-entering Earth’s atmosphere and exploding. The airline saying there was no danger. This as the U.S. and South Korea begin five days of air force drills, described by South Korea as aimed at improving wartime capabilities and preparedness.
Facebook’s new messaging, chat, and video app for children aged 6 to 12 has launched. Federal law prohibits children under 13 from having Facebook accounts, but this app acknowledges that many of them are online anyway and tries to create a safe space for them. The app is free and only available in the U.S. on iOS, Apple-based, for now, but Facebook plans to expand to Android in the future.
