Ray read a text he received about how calling Debi “Darlin’ Deb” is demeaning. A caller informed us of the horse bag requirements for beach. Then Debi, David and Ray talk about how dogs need a license and leash and cats have the reign of the community.

Ray, Debi and David had a lively discussion on Maine’s Referendum Question 1 “Do you want to allow a certain company to operate table games and/or slot machines in York County, subject to state and local approval, with part of the profits going to the specific programs described in the initiative?”

Portland Maine Mayor Ethan Strimling gives us an update on the aftermath from the storm on Sunday night. Having to wait on CMP to make sure that the clean up is safely done. CMP has done an amazing job. Portland might take a look at revamping how the local questions are labeled. Portland’s Question 1 is about rent control. Question 2 is allowing neighbors to veto development. Question 3 is to rebuild schools and bring them into the 21st century. Question 4 is also a school referendum.
