Saudi Arabia becomes the first nation to grant citizenship to an artificially intelligent female robot named Sophia. Tonya says that we would be amazed at the artificial intelligence (AI) technology that is now within our grasp.

Part 1: Ray, Peter McFarland and WCSH6’s Pat Callaghan go over some of the referendums. Ranked Choice Voting, Legalized Marijuana, Rent Control. There was a deep discussion about RCV. Ray brings up how this is going to effect the Governor’s race. Ray is voting No on Question 1, but got really mad when Roger Katz was upset because of the way the referendum process worked, when Katz could have changed the process.
Part 2: President Trump is expected to order his health secretary to declare the opioid crisis a public health emergency today and Ray asks Pat to comment.

10-26-17 Tom Watson – Say No To Rent Control
Tom Watson, with Say No To Rent Control, is a landlord in Portland Maine. He is against the Portland Referendum Question 1. It will make it nearly impossible to remove dangerous tenants — like drug dealers. The proposed ordinance sets up a seven-member volunteer panel, and urges the placement of 4 tenants and only 1 landlord on the board. The Portland Press Herald agrees that this is a bad deal for Portland!!!
