We had a nice caller this morning. She called in to discuss education. She brought up some great points of different barriers in the schools in Maine. Different languages, food insecurity, community wealth and involvement all play a part in education.

So Ray and Joe talk about a lot of different topics but the common core was responsibility. Young moms not knowing how to raise kids, deadbeat dads, healthcare, parents blaming teachers for kids misbehaving, having people getting a handout instead of a hand up. The list goes on and on…..
10-06-17 Rachel Sutherland
Fox News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland gives us an update on the “Bump Stock” issue. A bump stock is an after-market gun modifications that utilize a semi-automatic rifle’s recoil to bounce its stock back and forth off of the shooter’s shoulder and re-cock the gun after each round fired. Most people didn’t know what that was until Sunday night. NRA is saying congress will probably need to do something about them. There is likely going to be a compromise on the gun control issue. President Obama lifted the ban on bump stocks in 2010.

Joe Bruno and Ray start by talking about Clean Elections and question how are they working for Maine. Then head to the progressive Maine People’s Alliance, who spearheaded a referendum campaign to guarantee in-home support and assistance to all Mainers over 65 years old and people with disabilities.
