Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss the Electoral Vote that was in committee and the result of their vote to the House. Ray reiterates the need for the grassroots movement to make sure that we protect what we hold dear.
Part 2: Ray looses it on the Census questions. Democratic presidential candidates Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren have postponed the sanctions on Rep. Ilhan Omar after her anti-Semitic remarks.
Part 3: Ray welcomes Ray and Debi welcome Bob Witkowski. Bob is from Visit Portland and author of 100 Things to do in Portland Maine Before You Die. Bob tells that Lenny’s won last weekend’s contest. He reminds us of their chef’s awesome credentials. He then re-introduces us the Porthole. The Porthole offers live music and delicious food and great drink specials, but on Fridays offer their “famous Fish Fry”.
Part 4: Ray, Bob and Debi discuss the importance and history of the Census. Citizenship used to be a question on the Census, then Pres. Obama removed it. The courts ruled against Pres. Trump to put it back on. Ray goes into depth and explains the sinister plan.
Part 5: They talk about some of the Census. Bob tells a story from Kentucky about the death of a Census worker….
Part 6: Ray, Debi and Bob are joined by David Ciullo of Career Management Services and Dale Carnegie Maine, he also hosts The H.R. PowerHour on WLOB Radio. Dave’s topic is the perspective of employers and employees in the new administration. The talk of recession is real, but hiring is still going strong.
Part 7:
Part 8: Ray brings up that Massachusetts is looking at adding a 13th year to schooling children. Why would we add another year and not require quality schooling in the years that they already have. He also brings up that they also want to have a mandatory Pre-K program as well. They take a call about the efficiencies of schools.
Part 9: Ray continues talking about electing people that don’t think. Gordon Draper calls in and suggests that if people that voted paid taxes, there would be some different mindsets. They also discuss the move to have 16 year olds eligible to vote. Ray points out why that isn’t a good idea.
03-06-19 Stand Up
Part 1: Ray reads job opportunities at Volk Packaging. Ray talks about the “able-bodied, able-minded” people that Gov. Mills has agreed to support with the Medicaid expansion. He continues the thought down the road to the programs that Gov. LePage had in place verses what is proposed in Gov. Mills budget. He takes a call from a self-proclaimed liberal that doesn’t understand how we can continue to just hand-out money. He thinks that they should be offering job training for people in the system. The caller gives a couple of examples of what he is talking about.
Part 2: Ray reminds people if they are interested in helping with a People’s Veto if this is necessary to defeat Maine Senate Bill LD 816 & Maine House Bill LD 418. These are the bills for the Electoral Vote.
Part 3: Ray talks about the Maine budget. He points out the differences between Gov. LePage’s and Gov. Mills’ budgets. Our elected folks just like to spend. He takes a call and he talks about the millennial and that they have been scared “purple”. He also talks about the NRA and the gun grabs and then he talks about the solar fields. He pleads with the independents to please join the conservatives to preserve our Country.
Part 4: Ray takes a call from Gordon Draper wanting to know why they aren’t using scientific information instead of emotion to make monetary decisions.
Part 5: Ray plays a long version of Pink Floyd’s Another Brink in the Wall, which leads his thoughts on the intolerance of our school systems to listen to anything that they don’t believe. He mentions school children praising Obama, but kids wearing MAGA hats and shirts have been banned from displaying items, then suspended and sent home. He also points out that the schools don’t even teach our youth the basics in the way our government works. Ray points out to Rep. Cortez’s lack of ability to name the three branches of government.
Part 6: Ray reminds people to sign up to the 2019 People’s Veto contact form.
03-05-19 Political Tuesday!!!!
Part 1: Ray and Debi discuss the Electoral Vote Compact. Ray reiterates the way it will work. Basically, it won’t matter how you vote, Maine will hand over your Electoral Vote to a group of states that will band their votes together (which all have liberal ideas) and cast their vote.
Part 2: Ray and Debi continue the discussion and Ray re-names Maine to Cali-Maine because Maine won’t have a voice. They take a call who is really wound up.
Part 3: David Jones joins them in the discussion.
Part 4: The group welcome Ellie Espling to the table. They take a call and he is frustrated that the Legislature has gone back to the playbook from way back. The caller says that the people that are elected are only in it for money and power. He also says that only the Bold People are being elected.
Part 5: The talk about the grassroots fight that needs to happen to stop this nonsense in Maine. They talk about Gov. LePage and how he is still using his voice. We need to stand up and be bold with our voice to fight socialism.
Part 6: Ray poses a question to Ellie because she used to be in the House Leadership, “Why aren’t the Republican Leadership speaking out?” He uses Medicaid expansion as an example. They discuss the current elected folks and how they need to be supported by their constituents. They need to hear from you whether or not you agree with what is going on. Ellie states that the only way we will be able to have changing is to have people to run for office that will be willing to stand up to the left’s ideas. They take a call about what he does and he urges people to do what they can. Ray explains what the Committees of Correspondence was and how effective it was. We have a communist party in the US right now.
Part 7: Ray goes back to history and how the Democrats have always tried to control people. He goes back to the Civil War and the Jim Crow laws. Ellie points out that when the Democrats win all is good, but when the Dems loose, they try and change the rules. Look what happened after Maine Gov. LePage won, they instituted the rank choice voting. Trump won and they are trying to change the Electoral College. Ray points to a really small issue and the media is complicit. Ray reads an article from the US Department of the Treasury’s website about the average Tax Refunds are UP 1.3% from last year. There is no media coverage on this good news.
Part 8: David reads a text from someone that wants Ray to run for Governor. They continue the discussion on the media and how they only go after the low hanging fruit and don’t do their due diligence in getting a story’s fact correct, report wrong facts and not correct the information. They take a call and he is frustrated that there isn’t more local news available, but there is way too much national news. Ray brings up the $50 million study on the acidity of the Gulf of Maine, not anything that we can solve, by the way. This brings them to potholes in Maine. Ray wants to the know where is the Leadership in Augusta?
Part 9: Ellie, David and Ray discuss Maine Rep. Craig Hickman’s statement and the educational system because they don’t teach the voting process. There are 50 individual elections for President. They go back to the rank choice voting and how when the Dems loose they want to change the rules. They take another call and he isn’t sure which topic to comment on because they have covered so many topics. Ray says that they (Republican Leadership) should have used Ellie because she was a woman, articulate, attractive, smart, but they wouldn’t because they were afraid.
Part 10: This is a wrap up segment…we took a lot of calls and the bottom line is we need to have good people willing to stand up and be counted. The time is now. We will need to start gearing up for the upcoming elections.
