09-28-18 MSSPA
Ray and Joe welcome Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals. Meris Bickford, CEO, and Kathy Woodbrey, treasurer, are in from the farm to share with everyone what they do there. They will continue the work of the Maine Equine Welfare Alliance to provide temporary, emergency food assistance for the horses of Maine. Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the MSSPA offers short-term food assistance, which can provide a safety net, allowing a horse to remain in a loving, healthy home. They talk about their fundraisers and events coming up. Their Buy-A-Bale program is a year-round fundraiser. If you would like to donate, volunteer or have any questions call 207-892-3040 or visit www.msspa.org.
09-28-18 Terry Hayes
Ray and Joe Bruno are joined by Maine Gubernatorial Candidate Terry Hayes early this morning. Ray asks them about the committee that they sit on together. They talk about her new campaign ad. This leads to a long discussion about infrastructure in Maine. She points out the costs involved but necessity if Maine wants to move forward. She also feels that it is important to listen to the people and hear what they are saying that they need. Her campaign is based on civility. She will always tell you about what her plans are, but will never cut another candidate down. Visit her website to learn more about Terry and her campaign.
