Part 1: Harold Pachios, Joe Bruno and Ray are joined by Cumberland County Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Sahrbeck. He is registered as an Independent and is running for District Attorney with the blessing of the current DA Stephanie Anderson. They talk about being a prosecutor and how they don’t make the laws, they are there to have the back of law enforcement. They also discuss the prescription drug addiction problem, methadone clinics, pain management and doctors.
Part 2: Ray asks the lawyers in studio about the Manafort trial. One of President Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, is on trial for bank and tax fraud charges. They discuss this and regional jails. They also discuss consolidation of services.
Part 3: The discussion continues on consolidating services and the school systems. Joe also announces his support for Jonathan’s campaign.
08-10-18 Shawn Moody
Part 1: Ray and Joe welcome Shawn Moody to WLOB. The boys start off talking about the Topsham Fair and running some machinery. They talk about working with your hands. Ray asks Shawn about his thoughts on what people saying about him following Gov. LePage. He would love to see the young kids in our state be able to find work because of all of the benefits in working.
Part 2: Joe brings up the opioid crisis in Maine. He gives some of his insight of the problem and how Medicaid expansion isn’t going to make a difference. Minimum wage increase and reimbursement rate was cited in two nursing homes recently closing. They hit on the people’s referendum process.
Part 3: Harold Pachios joins Joe, Shawn and Ray in studio. Buckle Up!!! Ray asks a listener’s question and Shawn answers. He states that it all boils down to education. He wants to break the stigmata that accompanies trade schools and blue collar jobs. Shawn lays out his thoughts about self medicating and mental health of our first responders and feels the need to protect and help them. Joe and Shawn ask Harold several questions and his viewpoints. Non-citizen voting, unions, minimum wage and the middle class are all discussed. This was quite the discussion.

Part 1: Ray is joined by brightly dressed Joe Bruno. Joe is all wound up about the people seeking asylum. He wants to know why don’t people fight for their own country instead of coming to America and try to change it to the way things were done in their old country. They talk about soft borders and how the immigration system is nothing but a pawn in the liberal’s fight against the Trump Administration.
Part 2: The boys talk about liberals and the city of Philly with the mayor dancing when it became a sanctuary city. Because of that, a child has been attacked by a previously deported illegal.
